On a positive side even thou my boys lost, that garbage time 31yd TD catch by Brandon Marshall allowed me to win my fantasy game by .8 points! at the same time my best friend who was the only other team with a 3-0 record had the Dallas D going and on that very same play it gave them negative point making him lose his game by 1 point

:moon: I was going against a guy with Marshall and had a 26 point lead going into Monday night. And Marshall scored exactly 26 points thanks to that stout Dallas D and it ended in a tie.

Lol, so i guess ties do happen.

The Pats are a great team, and will be so long as Brady and Belichick are around. If one or the other leaves, though, might get ugly...

I knew Peyton wasn't going to come back unless he could perform at a high level. Only question is if that D can sustain them for a long playoff run. They haven't had too much success against the Pats, but maybe they'll redeem themselves this week...

For all of their fireworks through the air, the Saints had a very good ground game. Payton knew how to mix in the run efficiently with the pass, and used all of his RB's effectively. Now, not so much... But it is funny that a 1st rd RB, and the first RB in that year's draft, is only the 3rd best RB on his own team (behind a 5'6" guy and an undrafted guy). Maybe they should use him as trade bait for some defensive help...

People in my 10 league team do not work the waiver wire in the slightest. I just traded Bradshaw and two waiver pickups for Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt. Luckily I can bench them both until they come around.

The best strategy I've found the last couple years is to draft extremely RB-heavy. This year, every player on my bench was an RB, except for RG3. I've slowly been packaging them as injuries/bye weeks mount for quality upgrades. This year's team after some moves...

Drew Brees
Roddy White
Wes Welker
Demaryius Thomas
Adrian Peterson
Trent Richardson
Rob Gronkowski
Matt Bryant
Seattle

Bench
Chris Johnson
CJ Spiller
Alfred Morris
Kenny Britt
Pierre Garcon
Rashard Mendenhall

Needless to say, this team is 4-0 and has been putting up an average of 140/week.

Thats quite a team. Who's your backup QB?
This year is the first year im actively trading, have already completed 3 trades so far. Traded Fitzpatrick for Rivers, thought i got the better end of that trade, not so much now...

I got the rams to upset the cards tonight, mostly because it's a division match-up w/ rams @ home. with a cards loss and niners win there will be a tie for 1st in the nfc west...so just the way I'm hoping things will go anyways lol

on a side note, I really hope the rams end up back in LA...I'd get a local-ish niner game every season that way

I wish that was the case in my league. Out of 4 WW moves I tried to make this week I got one.....
and my team sucks right now.
Because I got stoned and fell asleep instead of making it to my online draft and got auto-picked. My league is very competitive too.

There is always next year though, I did win the last 2 years so i am due for a bad season I guess

No backup QB. Brees hasn't been put out of a game in over 3 years, so I'm willing to roll the dice. I have a trade in for AJ Green giving up Morris and Garcon. If it goes through, I'll have an empty roster spot to fill bye weeks for QB, K, Def and TE. If not, 4 weeks out of the season, I'll have a slot empty in my starting lineup.

I don't think fitz for rivers will be a bad trade. FJax/Spiller are almost both healthy and the Bills have a decimated receiving lineup other than Johnson. Rivers has started slow the past couple years and finished well for the playoff push.

I personally think Rivers is a bum, I had him on my fantasy teams the past 2 years and he was great 2 years ago and decent last year, he just throws too many INT's and doesn't have LT in the backfield anymore and an Antonio Gates that looks like he lost his legs...

Was also gonna ask is anyone surprised by any teams this year so far, I have to say no one has said a word about the Vikings and they're sitting at 3-1 so far, I thought they would suck this year, seems like they are turning it around quicker than anyone thought.

In real football, I wouldn't touch Rivers with a ten foot pole. Luckily, fantasy playoffs usually favor players on losing teams struggling to finish a game over .500 for a playoff spot. The Chargers of late fit the mold well. In weeks 13-16 last year (fantasy playoff time) Rivers averaged just under 300 yards, 2 TDs and 0.5 INTs a game. Very serviceable imo.

If you can weather the regular season with him and still make the playoffs, you should be sitting pretty at QB. Now if they can get Mathews started, the passing game should open up well enough. That being said, I don't think the regular refs will allow the Chargers to duct tape the ball to Mathews' hands before each running play;)

AD coming back less than ten months from ACL reconstruction was quite the surprise. Ponder is playing as well as he has to to win games and the running defense is playing fantastic between the numbers.

And agree, everybody thought the Vikes would stink like last year but so far they've been competitive, which i'm sure pleases that large and loyal fan base to no end. The rebuilding project appears to be a year ahead of schedule...

This is some bullshit, Larry David. Yahoo made a stat correction and my defense lost 2 points so I lost by 2 points and now I'm 1-3! BOOOOOOOOOO! hahah Hope you guys are doing better than me this year.

And the Vikes better keep it rolling. I got their D this week against a weak Tennessee team so I'm hoping they do work.

Good call on the Cards/Rams game, whadeez. I was thinking Arizona because the D has been reliable and St Louis' offense is fledgling at best. Ugly game but a W is a W.

Week 5 and the 9ers have shown that they got what it takes. Buffalo came to the 'Stick and got their asses handed to them. Over 600 yards of offense against a touted Bills defense?? This wasn't just a victory, it was a spanking of the highest order.

On the Fantasy front, my lineup got me 101 points so far this week, and at the time I'm typing this, Brees hasn't even played yet. This is going to be the second consecutive week where my team's total points surpassed the century mark, assuming Brees doesn't totally melt down.

My lineup this week:

Drew Brees
Brandon Marshall
Victor Cruz
Anquan Boldin
Frank Gore
Marshawn Lynch
Tony Gonzalez
David Akers
Chicago Defense

Bench:

Lance Moore
Vincent Jackson
Big Ben
BenJarvus Green Ellis
Rashard Mendenhall
Arizona Defense

Only mistake I made was I should have started Mendenhall instead of Marshawn Lynch, but this was Rashard's first game back and I wanted to see what he was going to do. Next week, I'll have to consider benching one of my RBs to make room for Rashard. Pittsburg is going to be running the ball a bit more now that Mendenhall is back in effect.

It's been a long time since Brady had a running game,I cant remember the last time Brady handed the ball off on a 3rd and 17,and woodhead picked up 18.
That was beautiful, but riddley is rediculous, that boys got some moves.

Those dolls are creepy as heck, Supa-man. But it's surprising that Josh McDaniels is running so much, is this the end of the Gronk as a premier TE?

That's quite a lineup, Hemphrey, especially now you have Mendenhall back in the mix.

I picked up the Vike's D as well, Rasputin, and I might be starting them the rest of the season in my league where everyone starts two DEF's...

Won in both my leagues this week. Had a close call in one league, I started Flacco and Torrey Smith, who combined for 6 pts. Picked up Meachem off the waiver wire to start in place of Britt, who didn't look like he was gonna play Sunday. Britt did wind up playing but Meachem got 2TDs, which saved my butt. My opponent started Ryan Williams and Marcus Thigpen (who? MIA rb...) and Jimmy Graham getting injured helped my cause also...
