Yup..bummer for the person/persons squating there all season to see they're hard work chopped by cpd.
When the copter was hovering,2 days ago witnesses saw someone run from the scene.
I find it hard to believe that cpd did not notice this earlier.
I'm sure they waited till this time so they can inflate numbers so they can get $ from them fed fucks..gotta make the quota before the end of the year..so they get they're slice, and then some.
Cpd needs atleast 1000 more boots on the ground to,at least, control the gang violence that is toxifying this city.
Chicago has no $...1000 cannabis plants..10000000$..=more fuzz man..

You are right of course but if you are going to grow 2 football fields worth of pot you think you would take the time to pick a strain that finishes. How hard is it to pick a strain out?? Someones balls are way bigger than thier brain.

Chicago is calling for a freeze warning for the next two nights.

Let me guess next years strain choice is a haze right.

Looks like they jumped the gun on the seizure/harvest.

I find it interesting that LEO chooses harvest time to "seize". Not even setting up a watch on the land so as to get the farmers. They just go in and grab it, who cares about who put it there. So odd..

All you see is them cutting it all down, and throwing it into the back of trucks.

They do set up surveillance. Maybe not out in Cali where this is an every day event. But, places like this will. Its a very rare occurence for them to find a huge pot field in Chicago. These cops are media hounds and they would love to show the guy that is poisoning the children locked down in shackles and cuffs. Most of these larger grows like this call for full time farming. The growers probably saw the cops or someone else find the goods and left the scene.

Shit...The cops probably did the grow themselves. That's just waaay too many plants to go unnoticed in the inner city of Chicago out in the open like that...Way to sketchy to me that this got taken down right about the time my Blue Widow is about to finish?!? Why, yes, it is harvest season about this time in the good 'ol USA...Might be an inside job, it works perfectly if you know how Chicago's & most police dept.'s are in most cities. It's not that far fetched...

Even if it was not an inside job, and some guys planted all this, and saw it through to harvest. I just find it very interesting that they (LEO) chooses to do most their busts during the harvest time, when the plants should be mature, and ready to be chopped down. Why now, why not look for it all through summer, or middle of summer.

Then there is the token shot always, of a bunch of dudes chopping it down at the bottom of the plant, and throwing it to another dude in the back of a truck who packs them all in, and where does this truck go? What happens at the destination?

They made a big deal to say it was a few days from harvest, that bud wasn't close. Some big trees though. The impressive thing to me about it all was Chicago had some really vicious heat for most of the summer. This was a well tended crop. I have a hard time believing that this was not an inside grow that the popo did. How the hell did they keep 2 football fields alive with the heat this summer? Thats alot of fucking water for a gorilla grower to be doing by himself. Oh and they saw a guy running they didnt catch with come camping gear out there... LOL One guy isnt keeping all those watered by hand I don't think... CPD... They need money to hire new cops guess they went to americas largest cash crop to get it. LOL

We had severe drought all summer, if it wasn't an inside grow that was some determination!

Well here we go again..CPD making absurd claims..inflating #'s..
100 plants = 5000#s..so each plant is 50#s..yeah right..douches.

Do these look like 50 #ers?..no.

Oh..and so exotic the set up looks..ahh looks like regular containers.
anyways here's the story..
http://www.wgntv.com/news/wgntv-pot...lion-dollar-pot-bust-20121017,0,1966699.story

A northwest side man is under arrest after a Chicago Police Gang Enforcement Team’s investigation has led to the discovery of his “exotic hydroponic operation.”

A 50-year old resident of the 3900 block of North Elston Ave. faces at least one count of felony manufacturing of marijuana and weapons violations.

Police say they found in his home Wednesday more than 100 marijuana plants, weighing over 5,000 pounds with a street value of at least $500,000.

Police describe it as an exotic and sophisticated grow operation. A source tells WGN it had been in operation here for a long time.

The location is a home and photography studio on the northwest side near Elston and Irving Park. A website connected to this photo studio indicates it's been a thriving business with some high-profile clients.

Also in his home, two illegal firearms and more than $30,000 cash, according to police.

The man is set to appear in central bond court tomorrow.
