chopped and left lying on the ground

i had this happen this year and plenty of times in past years. it wasn't ppl in my cases. it probably was in yours but maybe it was rats. each year rats chew down some of my plants at the base of the main stem about 8" - 12" high. they just kill the plant, don't eat any of it. the way i can tell is by the sharp teeth marks left on the stems.

deer also took out an entire garden this year. they left flat cut marks at the cut point.

many od growers use chicken wire around the base of the plant high enough to keep the smaller animals from eating the base stem. rat traps, extra dank kitty litter, rat poison are used by some as a preventative.

when ppl hit my plants in the past they left obvious signs that a person was in my patch. when cops hit my patch they took everything including rootballs, buckets, tools, etc.

the fact as a i read your post is that some plants were left. that is a tell (imo) that rats might have been the culprit. when ppl hit my patches in the past (rippers, pissed of hikers, cops) they never left any plant standing.

don't assume it was ppl imo. check the cut marks carefully and therein lies the answer. looks like you got a killer place. if it wasn't ppl then you are good to go for next year with some furry critter precautions taken next time.

Thanks for the idea, but idiit, no it wasn't rats lol or deer or boar or the canna fairy. It was some uneducated idiot(s). Yes, 4 plants were left untouched because the idiot ripper-ruiner didn't find that spot....those 4 plants left were at a different site at least 100m away from the other 2... but these 2 spots had 95% of my potencial harvest
I lost 2 plants to wildlife and have a few little orange worms, about 1cm long, 2mm wide that burrow into the stem just below a budsite and make their way through and then come out somewhere in the bud, which then causes the bud to rot. Deers and boar, although there, had not been much of a problem in the 3 years I had been growing there.

Yes I grow with a good friend who I've known for at least 10 years and with whom i've been growing the last 3 years in the same spot and the last 2 years have been good. 1st year we had 17 plants and about 1/2 kg each, 2nd year we had 23 plants and this year we had 33 plants and were aiming for at least 1kg each, and we do have about 1kg each but of weed that needed another 2-3 weeks..and maybe 200g of weed harvested at the right time.

I don't agree with the policy of not growing with anybody. I mean what good is it if you can't trust anybody? What are friends for? Obviously these choices must be made wisely and you never know what can happen, people change, things change. The more people that know, the higher the chances of something going wrong. Never take anybody to your spot.
I couldn't imagine growing guerilla style without somebody and I wouldn't do it by myself just because of the work load sharing and the company.

in my opinion you got lucky , they didtnt take ANY so you still have some bud (or you could hash it) and they didnt find all your plants.
