right here right now there is no drug more powerful than cannabis and i intend to keep it that way.

cigarettes suck butt, i have a decent amount of lung chunks to prove it. managed to overcome a pack a day rear naked choke that nearly had me tapping using only cannabis...that's damned powerful!!
lengthy opiate and benzodiazapam addiction quashed at the same time, with cannabis.

pending another testimony on curing cancer...an antidote to cigarettes? hopefully so; it's that powerful.

The gov does all kinds of testing behind everyone's back. Im pretty sure they knew about the killing caner properties of cannabis a long time ago. They did not want to lose the profits big pharma was making off there less effective cancer drugs.

I quit cold turkey over 2 years ago.

It is a simple choice as is anything.

First few weeks were some irritability and such, but truthfully not that bad.

It just comes down to if you want to quit or not. If you are not mentally prepared to never smoke another cigarette again, then you're going to repeatedly fail at the attempt to quit.

I used to smoke a pack+ of camel turkish golds a day. Then I learned about all the additives and went to American Spirits, quarter to a half pack of the black box periques and half a pack of the maroon organics daily. All that in addition to 50/50 organic tobacco with my weed (sneakin' tokes at work)

And then I found my Ego-T (and roof access for blazing in peace) and it was love. within a week or 2 I was using only my e-cig on most days, occasionally sneaking a perique. I loved the taste of those periques.

I then switched to nicotine free fluid for a month and was freed from that monkey. Only took me 8 years to realize how bad the cigs really were for me. I can't stand tobacco smoke now, not even with my weed.

Now I don't even use my e-cig. I kinda wanna look into a good glycerine-hash tincture, because it feels like a waste just sitting on my bookshelf staring at me, even though I know the money I spent then has saved me hundreds since I quit.

I had to 'quit' quite a few times till it was permanent. Well, 25 years now, so that is kinda permanent?

I think some people have it much rougher than others quitting. I had it real bad. There are some that it is almost impossible to quit. My opinion.

The urge never goes away for me, that is a sign that I am a true addict. You can not know what that is without being one. Smoking cigs every day does not necessarily define you as an addict btw. For some it is more just a habit.

First of all, I hate em. Cant stand the smell of the second hand smoke, or the way people smell after they smoke, its fucking disgusting...

I own an E-Cig vape shop and convert smokers to vapers daily, it makes me feel really good about it. I have also switched 13 of my personal friends over to vaping e-cigs....

Today an elderly gentleman came in to get info about e-cigs. He explained that he smoked for 50 years, had ONE LUNG removed in February, yet he STILL smokes cigarettes. SUCH a powerful drug...

He left a happy man with his new vape pen. His regular and watermelon flavored E-Juice and was ecstatic that he may have some freedom from cigarettes. I am helping him ween of nicotine completely....
Friend of mine put it this way, Nicotine is the most stupid of all drugs, costs an arm and a leg, and it doesnt even get you high.
Young folks, dont ever touch this shit, do yourself a favor!
Congrats to all exsmokers in this thread! Sadly im no longer one of you...superstupid....

In addition to the outreageous tax they safe money on healthcare and pensions. Its not true smokers cost society money, they are a big financial benefit.

I think a large part of cigarette addiction is placebo, at least it was for me. Years of social conditioning about how hard it is to stop had me going into the battle expecting to lose, how could I do anything but fail. With a mindset change, I found quitting easy as hell. I think honey is more addictive for me personally hahahaha
But seriously, your body dosen't need nicotine, regardless ofwhat your mind thinks. My 2c

Mildestoner- I think that you are correct. We are bombarded with ads for patches, gums, pills and gov't propaganda that tells us how addictive nicotine is and how it is so difficult to stop and that nobody can do it on their own. It's mostly BS. The key is not restarting due to the continuation of old habits that put you in the situation where you'd normally smoke. Taking your breaks inside instead of going to the back dock, drinking indoors instead of at the patio bar, etc. Granted the desire to inhale smoke and the oral fixation can linger, but in this community, why not just smoke more pot? :)
