Sure LOOKS like perlite....

If you look closely you can see actual perlite in the mix. So no its not perlite. It actually smells like a cleaner of some kind so I agree some kind of chemical reaction. I have some ph down powder thats 3 years old. Is it possible that its gone bad?

If I start over is it best to kill these plants and start over or can I save them?

Let's see some pictures of the plants themselves. I would not toss them if they are not going down hill. Also, for future reference, use canna coco. It is the best.

u could do a rinse under the sink or under the hose an replant but make sure you use some kind of beneficial bacteria to keep the goods in ur coco an never use vit c again as this more than likely is ur problem an you havent used a proper leaching/ flushing product to get it out yet.

Well I read online and on a mushroom site I found that mycelium smells kinda sweet. Well mine smells like sweet cleaner.... So why is it growing in my coco so profusely? How do I ensure it doesn't take over. Also it seems to be killing limiting the drainability of my coco, it still drains but seems to stay wet longer.

I did the peroxide thing 8mils into a plain gallon of water. After two days the plants started yellowing. On the third day I flushed with 6/9 an they greened back up. But I am noticing they don't have have normal leaf texture, its almost like the leaves stay small and are really defined. I thought maybe too much nutes so flushed them with 4/6 nute solution but a day later they look the same. I would of thought that through all this they would be throwing some normal growth by now. I can't seem to peg the issue.

I'm gonna buy a bag of canna which is costly at $50 for 50l and try to cut the tops off the two plants I have. Maybe I can get them to root and start over from there. I am starting to hate coco all together, what a pia its been.

Nobody carries it near me. It cost $25 to ship it. My only local option is cocotek bails which I've never heard of. Im not having any luck with botanicare bails so looking to try another brand.

Thanks but $30 + for shipping one bag. It would save me $10 if I ordered 2 of them though. Might have to try.

That's what I'm saying, I typed in my info and it gave me $31 for the cheapest option. Wish it was cheaper I'd buy more. Thanks though, its great to have another store option to use. Do they ship discrete?

Stop flushing your plants!
If you flush them all the time theyre gonna look sick and youre gonna think you need to flush them again.
Chill homie!

Don't fret man, I learned my lesson on using plain water. Other then the peroxide flush I only flush with nutes water. Last time it was 4/6 strength.

Good, please done use plain water again, but... Its not just plain water thats a problem.
When you pour a shitload of water through your roots all the time theyre gonna get pissed off! Your plant is gonna look sick and this cycle is just never going to stop.
Im guessing you meant flushed after the h202? I can understand that... Just a warning about flushing constantly. Youre gonna stress the roots. Especially on young plants that arent well developed.
