My 16k step into vert.

Finally getting to the end of construction, feels very good to be able to focus back on the growing part of things. Pretty happy with the way things are working overall. AC's are keeping the room at 83 with relative ease and my 8 burner CO2 burner doesn't need to burn all to often to maintain 1500ppm.

Onto the specs...

The room has dimensions of 15 x 21. I've got 12x 1k hps and 4x 1k mh burning. A Crossfire CO2 monitor, a CVR 8 burner C02 generator, 12 inch max fan with can scrubber (muffler to come). 2x Daikin 3 Ton AC w/ heat pumps are cooling the room. They seem to do a great job of dehumidifying so the plan on paper is to dehumidify with one while heating with the other during night cycle. If need be I'll order in a Santa Fe.

The flower room is fed by a 100A sub panel which is switched with a contactor. Fans+scrubber which operate 24/7 are fed from the main panel on a dedicated 20A circuit. There is room for one more 20A circuit if I require a dehumidifier. Things are still on 24/0 until I decide what time I want flower cycles on.

Veg goes down in the tents I previously flowered in, each 4x8 tent has 1x 1k MH and 1x 1k HPS bulb. This room is fed by a 30A sub panel. This just gives me enough room to fit enough plants for my flower room + moms will consider expanding in this room once first crop is over.

For my first run I've got 75 plants in 7 gal pots of promix, veged in 3 gals. feeding GH base + Rapid Start, Kool Bloom with a few H/G additives = Top Booster, Bud XL, Drip Clean. Potassium Silicate, Epsom salts. Was given 6 trays of clones of a local Jack Herer to get a leg up on the room, and I've also thrown in a few plants of some other strains I'm a little more fond of. Transplant went down last night into final flowering pots. I will give them around 10 days to establish and apply my final pesticide/fungicide applications.

This is my first show out of tents in a bedroom standard horizontal, definitely loving the space so far!

(Federally Legal MMAR Grow)

More pics to come.

4k veg and 16k flower. Got my last few outlets wired in today, need to grab 2 more water barrels today then I am pretty well set to go. I'd appreciate input on my plan to use the heat pump as a dehumidifier, will it keep up? Getting a Santa Fe out here is kind of a pain so it would be wise to get on that sooner than later if this plan is a write off.

It all depends on where yas are geographically as far as what`s needed for the girls Bro ......

70% RH till end of stretch , and as low below 50% till end of cycle as yas can get it with environmental equipment......but....

IME.......Santa Fe Classic with major air exchange in late bloomage has helped many many growbro`s in my circle....Environment`s everything when production`s concerned........

Lumens are secondary......

Good luck....DHF....:ying:......

Sealed room so there is no air exchange, the Daikin ac's offer a dehumidify mode, though I am beginning to believe there is no way to get the timed options to switch into this mode for the night cycle. I figure I'll probably need a better dehu down the line but this should work until the end of stretch.

D - Mini-splits work great as dehumidifers, but in your case I just don't see them keeping up later on in flower. Grab the santa fe now and you won't have to regret it later. Though as freds mentioned if you live in an area with low humidity already you might be able to just rely on the a/c's. My point of view is: with this much at stake overkill is the only way to roll.

serious question :

are the lights so high up for photo purposes or do you always leave the globes so far above the plants? Isnt the point of vert to put the globes in between the plants rather than above?

Dave - tip of the bulb usually goes at/close to the top of your plants during stretch to encourage vertical growth. After stretch is over the bulb is dropped down into the canopy for maximum light exposure
