Is this plant root bound?

Hi,

I have a friend who is growing some plants and they seem to have stopped growing. I peruse these forums quite often and told him i would ask. The plants seem relatively healthy and are in Coco Coir (canna). The growth rate seems to have slowed considerably. They also just had some clones taken from them.

Any advice? They are currently in 15 Litre, 30cm wide pots. The option is to replant them in 52 Litre Tomato Pots.

To put it in perspective they are a week or two from going to flower. They are 7 weeks from seed.

is this plant sexed? r u gonna flower it soon?

if so, yes, transplant it before you switch to flower. she is root-bound but seems like all young root growth, so it's ok and a great time to transplant.

be good!

replant/transplant...what ever you like to call it but yes, put her into a bigger pot before you flower her. It will greatly improve your yield...:)

Good Luck

Sorry to disagree. Can't hurt to up pot, but those are not root bound as pictured. Normal coco roots. But a good idea to flower in bigger pots anyway.
Something else going on there, IMO.

Shit... you guys think thats root bound in coco? That seems like a shitload of room in that pot there... Maybe thats my problem!

Oh yea... up pot before flower if you can. The bigger the pot the more pot or something

If you up-pot, trim the roots first. Just take some clean scissors, and cut 1/2 to 3/4 inch of the sides and bottom. Seems scary at first, but plants dig it!
