Organic flowering, nutes or no?

Hi friends,

I'm at day 3 of flower with the two girls below. They are both Nirvana Aurora Indica.

I am using the following organic soil mix and have been feeding nothing but pure water every second day.

50% Potting Soil
30% Vermiculite
20% Sheep Manure
2 Tablespoons Dolomite Lime per litre

They are looking pretty healthy but just wondering if there are any must-have organic nutes I should add during flowering as I want to get the best yield? Was debating using some fish emulsion but not sure if that's necessary.

Feel free to give me any tips or advice.

Enjoy the pics!:

Your plants look really healthy but I'd back of on watering every other day,you need a dry soil cycle too.Every third or fourth day will give the roots a chance to go searching

Hey Floridian, 944s2 and supermanlives! Thanks for stopping by and for the great tips. I will slow down with the watering and see how they go. As for adding P & K, the manure will have a few of these elements already but I wasn't sure if I should add something like potash to speed things along? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi grow_right, I have flowered them short as I'm growing in a small space (31" Height) and have never worked with this strain before. The internodes appear to be quite compact so maybe I will let them go a bit longer next time.

pullin up a chair penguin.. look a tad over watered as said before. Let the plant tell you what it needs. Had some of the aurora years ago and kick myself for letting her go. Short fat stanky indica. Not saying you will find one ( although yours look good) but there are some gems in the nirvana aurora and papaya from my experience fwiw.

Pleasure to have you along for the show, nukklehead! I'm definitely backing off on the watering for sure from now on. Will let them dry out for a couple of days then post more pics at the end of the week.

I think I'm in the same boat as you for finding gems in the Nirvana stock. Had an amazing white widow girl a couple of years ago and then had to move house and lost her. Nirvana has been nothing but quality for me.

Hey Joeski! Thanks for the kind words mate. Hope you can stick around for the show.

Potting soil brand was Osmocote but I forget the exact variety it was. Was about $14 and has some wetting agent in it as well.

manure is usually high in n and low in everything else. i have never used sheep shit tho. i would be adding some p and k myself. anyone know the sheep shit fert ratios? n,p,k,?. either way good luck man

Hey xweed420. Thanks for the support brother. Hope they turn out well, fingers crossed!

Hi super and Neo 420, the NPK ratio of sheep manure is around 0.7%:0.3%:0.9%. Not sure if that will be enough to see me through the flower cycle but I'd be happy to add this product called "Aquasol" if you guys think I should? Aquasol's NPK is 23%:4%:18%. Being that I've started flowering already, the high N rating won't be needed but I guess it can't hurt?

Next time I will definitely be adding blood and bone to my soil mix to bump up the P&K ratings. I guess this is just all part of the learning process and finding the right mix.

the sheep shit looks good . dont like the aquasols npk for flowering. prob will give ya leafier buds than you want IMHO. i would still be looking for a p and k boost.something soluable. molassis, kelp, guanos , something . i am sure you will do ok anyhow . but you want your plants to be all they can be.

I agree mate, I definitely appreciate your input as I only want the best for my girls too. Might go with sulfate of potash or something, that has a K rating of 40%. Will keep you posted on what I end up going with. New photos will be up on Friday :)

Hey again,

So I went down to the local hardware store and bought a tomato fertilizer with an NPK rating of 8:3:10. Pics are below.

Was the only liquid fertilizer I could find that had a decent P & K percentage with a lower N percentage. Let me know if this will cause problems down the track though?
