Weird smell

I have this doodler kush that smells like moth balls from candyman. Is this a common smell? If so what other strains contain these terpenes?

The make up of doodler kush is doodle kush x og kush bx1.
Doodle kush is dankee doodle x purp og
Dankee doodle is viking 90 x big bud 93 x kc 636
Purp og is og kush x motarebel purple kranial kush
Og kush bx1 was from capt crip.

Never had anything that smelled like mothballs, not even close. Did have a LUI x Blue Moonshine that smelled just like Vicks Vap-O-Rub (camphor/menthol) during flower. Cured out smooth, but boy did it stink in flower

Used to grow the Original Chemdog Cut.. We called it OG Kush back then, 'cause the Hippies hated anything with the word Chem in it. It was and is the original OG> It Definitely had a Moth Ball Smell.

i had a plant from sams haze skunk mix that smelled like what i think mothballs would smell like (never smelled them before)...it was a natural smell, not from bad curing or anything, just smelled like some super gross old lady soap mixed with an old attic smell...i called it snicklefritz...it was potent as hell but i could not for the life of me smoke it, tasted like baby barf...swear to god, when i cracked the jar for curing each day i had to do it in another room cause the smell would drive me insane...i don't know if mothballs smells like that but meh, it was a weird smell and i hated it

Hard to say. Mine stank of camphor in bloom, but when cured it had a very fruity/berry smell and no hint of either camphor or menthol.

It may carry through after cure, or possibly have a hint of it when you break the buds. Or not at all.

most weired bud smell-taste was from either "nirvana whithe rhino" or "kc brains leda uno" can't remember, many years ago...strong ammoniac, industrial chemicals mix, soap...if I wouldn't grow it myself, I would never believe that's the smell of a natural soil grown plant fed with the tap water I drink every day....that bud had nothing noticible concerning the effect-high...very mild...
