very interesting,I Luvs my additives tho. polysorbat/triacontanol (the latter part actualy is organic), ionics, trace minerals and such.I'm running DWC and feel most comfortable useing ionic semi-inorganic and alot of salt based nutrient combonations that don't cloud up my rez as much if at all. For example Calcium;calcium citrate, calcium fumarate, tricalcium phosphate W/chelaters(EDTA's)rather than useing non-water soluble forms of calcium.
planning on switching to biobuckets(bigtoke article here on Icanna '05). His method has a single pump that continuosely both fills and drains from the top,and benificial microbes that both digest dead matter, preventing root rot,and helps stableize ph. A little nervouse about about adding the molassas 2 my rez as I Always reserved the mycorryhizea and bacteria for the soil.I like the simplicity of it,...Ak-51 ,you have a true purest philosophy,I respect that dawgon jankydank stuff.

ak.. ionic, aka(salt) =metal/nonmetal(sodium/chloride) if your familiar with your periodic table of elements you can decifer most labels(if it's on there)
Ionic organic=a synthesized single crystal grown in the presence of an ionic organic compound ....just some chemestry mumbo jumbo

Too bad I'm really restricted on what I buy by what my hydro shop carries. I'll have to talk them into carrying some new shit. Too bad they won't just drop the AN line. Like a fifth of their nutrient shelf space is just AN products.

Because Hydro shops make their biggest profit off of AN. Earth Juice is one of the lowest marked up nutes.

I picked up 10 liters of Canna's coco nutrients at the shop today.

I can actually pinpoint the moment when I was sold: it was when I held the smaller containers they sell up to the light to look through them. There was nothing settled out and the color of the liquid was uniform from top to bottom.

Their line is separated into A and B that are not supposed to be mixed together in concentrated form. As long as stuff doesn't get all mucky and precipitate out when I mix them in the reservoir then I'll be happy.

Hydro shop guy was supportive of my choice. His opinion was that while Canna may not produce the most yield, it does produce the best quality.

I'm going to keep running CNS17 for the runs I'm on so I can do a run with nothing but Canna. In 3 weeks I'll pull down a tent, then I can throw in the test run for this.

HDI in America (Growth Technologies sister company) just reintroduced a reformulated Europonic Grow and Bloom. Like their Ionic Nutrient....its a no frills no bullshit brand that has everything and is like 60$ for an A & B set. Like Ionic...its pH stable as hell. I know the cats in Lansing Mi that make it. Ive used it. It gets the job done. I run coco coir and have for years. Ionic Grow and Bloom can use a little kick in the calcium amd magnesium dept for some varities i grow. With Europonic. ..its not needed. An old ass brand. Back when there were but a few on the hydro store shelves...Europonic was one of the top sellers here in Michigan. Along with Atami Bcuzz bio stimulators...we grew some kick ass herb in rockwool slab drip systems.

Ionic is also the nute ive used that had the least amount of precipitation and salt build up on the equipment (hoses..drippers..fittings. .etc) during cleanup in between crop runs. And very pH stable. Theres a reason why dwc and water based mediumless hydroponic growers like it so much.
