250 hps + 125 envirolight, Homebox S micro SOG

Hi guys, long time member but first time to get a proper grow going

First the equipment:

Homebox S 80 x 80 x 160 cm
250 watt HPS (non digital ballast)
125 watt envirolight (Blue spectrum)
Platinum all mix soil
2 Liter water bottles as pots
Bio bizz root stimulator, bloom and grow
Inline fan fitted with carbon filter
Mother/clone box with cfl's (yet to be constructed)

Strains:
World of seeds Northern light x big bud (feminised)
mdanzig Sour 60

So the plan is to do a micro sog ala drbud, however I am going to be using 2 liter water bottles as pots, I am not an expert grower so I think the extra soil will be a bit of a safety barrier. You may have noticed the sour 60 I mentioned and thought it is not the most suited for a micro sog grow, too right you are! The sour 60 is going to be my interim bud between getting the nl x bb mothers going and clones taken.

I have a pack of 7 feminised nl x bb so the plan is to start with 5 seeds. Veg them in the flower box while the lowryders autoflower. I am planning the 60 days the sour60's will take to finish will be enough time for the nlbb to have matured and for me to have some rooted clones from them (is this time frame acheivable?). So as I harvest the sour60 from the homebox the light will be changed to 12/12 and the first batch of rooted clones will go in.

I plan to keep all the 5 mothers alive until after the harvest until I can choose what one is going to be a keeper.

I planted 12 sour 60 seeds, I made these seeds myself last year during an outdoor grow and am not entirely sure about the quality, so far only two have germed

Any feedback you guys can give as this is my first time with a proper indoor grow is much appreciated, will have pics as soon as something interesting starts to happen, any questions on the setup feel free to ask.

Hi all,

Sorry about the lack of updates (still not much to report). Due to a fuckup (both on my part and the part of the seed company). I now have 3 unsexed sour 60 (due to my bad breeding skills) and 4 feminized nl x bb auto (due to fuckup of seed company, I wanted the regular nl x bb). So my total plant count is 3 x unsexed sour 60, 4 x nl x bb auto and 2 x sam the skunkmans skunk x haze (freebies with a previous seedboutique order, lesson learned order from you guys in future).

All the plants are now onto their third set of normal leaves and I have all the autoflowerers in 11 liter pots. The mixed haze are still in small pots as I am thinking about using them for my mothers or just ordering the nl x bb again (with specifiec read harsh instructions not to send me the autoflower version, in a way ots good I got the autos as 80% of my homemade sour 60 didn't germ).

The grow tent is in my loft and I am a little bit worried about the low temps (even though it should still be summer here) its freezing

I will definitely get some pics up soon (once I read up about fully removing all extra data from the images, have been scared about geo coordinate data been stored in the meta data of image files).

Not much more to report but I want to keep this thread alive.

The hps is only on for 12 hours a day while the envirolight is on for 18, hey a lil hps during veg cant hurt, right?

I don't actually have a thermometer atm so havent taken a reading yet, however it is in the loft and the lights are on at night and I normally leave the door open as it is pitch dark in there and anytime I go up there it is always much colder than the house (read freezing). I imagine if I have any issues with temps it is going to be it being too cold rather than too hot (I live in a country where the favorite pastime is complaining about the weather).

Im looking at the secret jardin dr 40 for using as a mother box, however dont know if this would be too small for one or two mothers and a bubble cloner, might look at a 60 x 60 box instead. I'm thinking of another 125 envirolite for the mother/clone box. Anyone have input on a mother/clone box that would be capable of filling my 80 x 80 main box in a 2 liter SOG?

So I picked up a DR60 to use as a mom/clone box. The dimensions are 60 cm x 60 cm x 140 cm, should be perfect for my needs.

One of the sour 60's showed his balls so he got the snip On a good note one of the other sour 60's showed lots of white little hairs So I now have a definite 5 females, one still to show and two mixed skunk that are a long way off showing.

I also picked up another 250watt hps so will probably run the two 250's in the main cab and move the envirolite into the mom box.
