Just got a Black Copper Maran rooster, 2 Jersey Giants and 2 Black Orpington's, and about to order 15 day old Black Copper Maran chicks. Not to worried about the noise as they are on the back side of the property.

When we had our own supply of fresh free range chicken eggs...well going back to industrial store-bought eggs was a let down to be sure.

And chickens are fun, they have personalities if you get to know them.
