Question: If I use rockwool to start the plants, can I place the rockwool inside the hydroton? Or do I remove the rockwool? Like I said, I am new to hydroponics (not to growing). thanks

hi guys , these girls are 2 week old , the name - ice cream , i am using lucas formula ( GHE flora ) my ph is 5.5 and the EC is about 1.9 ( almost 950 ppm ) they are doing great , they love the nutes , but is a little expensive the amount of the nutes , what should i use of thes firms , whith the same results and a bit cheaper and less nutes to use

can anyone tell me why is my EC rise from 1.9 to 2.1 ?, i just give them o ''cup'' of tap water to bring down the EC my PH is 5.5 , the drink a lot of water , I see a smal Ca or Mg deficiency but i am not sure what is it

add a teaspoon of epsom salts to 5l every third feed or so to avoid Mg problems..

ya no that water temps have alot to do with ph get your room temps stable and connect all the buckets to gether with a rez get a chiller and keep the water at one temp .. the only time i see ph drifts i when the ferts are being taken up by the plant .. read the krusty or freedom bucket article and learn ..

i dont have problems whith PH , the ph rises from 5.5 to 5.8 in a week, and then i change the solution

As your plants drink water, salts are left in the solution so the EC will rise if you do not top off the bucket with RO water. Tap water will make the EC go up because there are salts in the tap water. You need to use filtered water with any type of hydro.

hi guys , long time no see , a have a new DWC system, with white russian , i use atami awa , i am in 2 weeks of veg , the ratio of nutes is 2ml /L of A+B , the PH in the first day that i make the solution ( 2 weeks ago) was 5,5- 5,7 , and now the PH is almost 4 , but i have no problems with the girls , the roots are looking very good , they grow very fast every day , no deficiency ,the question is ITS OK WITH THE PH 4, sorry for no pics , yet !

Use some Liquid Sillicone to raise up the pH and it will be more stable, and tha plants will be happier than ever and they will get a fresh glossy look on their leaves.
