The issue of the Hancock legacy has been a recurring theme in Gina's life. Sure sure I know this is a classic story just blown up a thousand fold. I mean first of all the fact that the children and the mother blow the whole deal by trying to play see-saw and hope that one of them comes out with the bigger lead... ppptwwww... whatever. If there was that sort of cash on laying around you know its all hands on deck and if you don't toe the line its see ya later charlie.

About the minimum wage thing. There are lots and I mean lots of days that I feel like this. Hey I can work hard and get a good wage for my skills in almost any trade. Im not saying top bucks, cuase thats all about experience and equipment not to mention your ability to leverage capital. Lets not get crazy with the system that got us where we are now. Leveragoing money to make a few rich and others bear the weight is exactly whats wrong with our economy. The tax system is not just unfair it also has some serious loopholes. Thats where we need intelligent, but outsider politicians who won't let people slip by with out paying a share to the common good.
Other then that minimum wage is just what you get when you start a job. If you continue to work there is no way you won't be getting paid more eventually if you stay at work. This is kinda a proof of what jabba said, but I still jabba is missing the point that the people with the dirt under their nails should have some rights to the things that come from the mountains. Its really funny that her money comes from mining, becuas thats got to be the hardest job in the world. I bet she looses lots of sleep worrying about miners, and then insulting people who can't get rich at other jobs. Sorry lady, but if you work in service there is a good chance you work your ass off and you don't make enough to support a family. Minimum wage is insulting because she doesn't understand what she takes for granted. Its a whole lot more then not having a chef and somebody to was your linens. Its having to the dishes in the morning and the laundry at night, and getting to cook your own dinner. Life's all about chance. Of course you can improve your chances, but ultimately it is out of your control.

What bothers me about some people is their lack of perspective. What is it like to be poor and not have enough money to put food on the table or a roof over the family's head?

It is really, really tough to overcome poverty. I've seen people fucking die of hunger! Are they just lazy? I don't think so.

You know that up to 60% of people in India still shit in the streets or in their fields; do you think that is a choice? How would you like to have people drive by you as you're squatting in the middle of the road shitting, because you have no where else to go?

On thing that I've noticed with some wealthy people, is that they don't understand the true value of money. It's really eye opening, to sit and listen to a millionaire bitch about the price of his cable bill, when it's really just cents to him.

At times I just want to smack some people up side the head, but I refrain of course because that would be wrong.
