what an idiot.......

KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — A man dressed in a military-style "ghillie" suit and apparently trying to provoke reports of a Bigfoot sighting in northwest Montana was struck by two cars and killed, authorities said.

The man was standing in the right-hand lane of U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell on Sunday night when he was hit by the first car, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. A second car hit the man as he lay in the roadway, authorities said.

Flathead County officials identified the man as Randy Lee Tenley, 44, of Kalispell. Trooper Jim Schneider said motives were ascertained during interviews with friends, and alcohol may have been a factor but investigators were awaiting tests.

"He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting," Schneider told the Daily Inter Lake on Monday. "You can't make it up. I haven't seen or heard of anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him."

Ghillie suits are a type of full-body clothing made to resemble heavy foliage and used to camouflage military snipers.

"He probably would not have been very easy to see at all," Schneider told KECI-TV.

Tenley was struck by vehicles driven by two girls, ages 15 and 17, who were unable to stop in time, authorities said.

I've always wondered when we'd hear of someone being shot & killed in a Bigfoot suit, I never considered it happening this way.

Darwinism in its finest hour.

Drinking and impersonating Bigfoot do not mix. :D

This could have ended worse though, considering that this man was stupid enough to try to spook people who were driving at high speeds.
Thankfully these two girls didn't swerve off of the road and be killed themselves.

I feel bad for the two girls.

if they were drinking and driving they're truly fucked

you can bet the DA is not going to have any problem with burning them ....... even though Mr. Tenley was doing something so fucktarded he almost deserved to get hit by a car.

When I heard the story I though a redneck must have shot the guy thinking it was one of those decoy deers.

I lived in and around Kalispell for eight years, so this one caught my eye. You folks have covered the range of my thoughts on it, except for one. Being an avid outdoorsman I often wondered what I would do if ever to encounter a bigfoot, still do. Much of the time I'm out I am un-armed, (most arrowhead huntrs are) but while in a vehicle or on the quad I am near a shootin'iron. I saw "something" once that didn't compute....but not ready to claim it as a sasquach, just something I've never seen before, and I think I've seen all the critters out there. But the question of whether I'd shoot, guess I'll have to cross thatbridge when i gets there. BUT any fool tryin' to impersonate one, in Montana of all places, bad judgement.

yup, and he was just bright enough to realize that he'd likely die of starvation if he waited in the woods somewhere to be discovered so he decided to stand right on the highway.
