What height for scrog net ?

Hi All

Got a little RDWC and want to scrog it, i have 100cm from top of bucket to glass of air cooled light.

I have supercropped them a bit and spread them already.

What is the optimum height for the net ?

I have no idea what the strain is but it looks mainly Indica.

I'm guessing, but shouldn't it be the ideal height from your light+an allowance for how much you think the strain might stretch after you're done training?

I think you're best putting it fixed to your buckets somehow I've heard, with enough distance underneath to train/fill res'/trim fan leaves... that way you can raise/lower the whole lot together

You're actually dealing with two measurements. Set the screen at about 6"-8" from the top of the bucket--just enough so that you can get a hand underneath. One hand above and one hand below the screen makes the SCROG training easier.

The second measurement is the distance from the top of the screen to your light. And that depends on the wattage. The stronger the light the more penetration it will have.

I use a 150hps and allow for a distance of 10"-12". I assume with flouros you'd want to get much closer. A more powerful light means you could allow more distance for longer tops.
