Fuck it,
I'm selling out and buying a motor home.
A big one, with an ice maker and a motorcycle rack.
Might as well get a walkie talkie, and a code name while I'm at it.
I'll make my living selling overproof shine to the seniors.
Or perhaps I'll meet a decrepit widow in the desert with lots of money and nobody to share it with.

Livin' free is the life for me, baby.
..ermm Grandma?

I could live in an RV like that, fuck yeah.

We have a little classic travel trailer, an Aristocrat Low-Liner, ca 1971. It's perfectly sized for a little person like me, has most all of the original fabrics and, while not the greatest in terms of appointments or room, is just so fucking CUTE! Plus, from stem to stern it's the same size as the vehicle we use to two it. It could REALLY use automatic leveling jacks, though, because that shit kills my back.

I own a smaller (32') class A motorhome, it's a diesel pusher (truck engine/tranny) and gets it gets 40% better mileage (10-11mpg compared to 7-8mpg) than a gas engine RV of the same size, being as diesel fuel is only about 10% more expensive ($3.70 gas ~~ $4.08 diesel) than gas @ the pump the difference is tipped way in favor of driving diesel but 10-11 mpg is nothing to brag about imo. staying in it every single night & eating cheap by cooking is of course the real trade off on expenses over fly-in or drive n' stay type vacations.

I'll be selling my class A RV soon and will be buying one of two setups.

Either a Scamp travel trailer 100% fiberglass shell so no leaky seams and a 70's vintage tow vehicle (1970-72 El Camino), hot rod towing a small toy.

2nd choice would be one of these Dodge Sprinter vans w/the Mercedes diesel engine, the vans deliver up to 30mpg on the highway, I'd select from the 3500 series = 1 ton chassis, suspension, tires etc.

not sold as RV's but an easy good looking conversion imo if you're handy. 28-30mpg is a real bonus if touring the country.
