thinking about a stadium...

Well lets get down to it. I have this spot that's

7.25ft H 7ft W 12.25ft L

after contemplating for a few and going back an forth in my head i think i'll give the stadium a try. the space seems about right. I will have to shorten it to 10ft long if i wanted to stick to the usual 50wpsf, or is this stadium setup will it be different? i have 4k to put in it along with 2ton mini-split.

thinking 3 rows on each side with about 30girls in 2gal coco per side.

should i shorten the space to 10? im thinking the count might be crammed if i do.. any suggestions from the guys who have done it?

thanks!:tiphat:

I wouldnt shorten the space..just let it be free space..for any buds that might want to hang out there.

Ran 4000w in a 11x7 with good results.

I ran something very similar in size. What I would do on that 12ft to keep your wpsft that you are after is add a 3rd wall on the far end of the room so you have "3 sides" and then your will also fix those extra 2 feet and make them productive for you.

3 rows is great but using the TOP TWO on "3 walls" worked best for me else you have to have lights much lower OR flip them so they shine upside down to remove the issue that the tops of hps bulbs have with light spread.

Also when you run that 3rd floor row with the lights lower going in and tending to the girls is a PAIN in the ass.

I would do 2 top rows on 2 long walls, 1 short wall and then have the entrance at the other "short" end.

JonJaffer (from OG).. whom was the 1st person I've ever seen run anything in a stadium shape ran a suspended SWC stadium.

He ran only 3000w (still hung horizontally w/ wings bent upward) in a 11x7. Actual system was 10' long in a two step design with 7 plants per "shelf" = 28 plants total. Pulled 2lbs per light using only 3000w in that space.

I agree with medmaker..keep it 2 rows per side and use that extra space to throw some stuff on the end you don't enter into.

Thanks guys. The lights will be setup in a way that I can raise them up to the ceiling to make things a bit easier.

I'll build it out with the 3 rows and will add some rows to the back un-used space. However I'll set it up so I can take a row out incase it won't work with my cut an the lights have to be in a position where some don't get hit. :joint:

If it was me, I would set it up in the full space but only use 10' of space to begin. Then as they grow you can spread them out if they start overcrowding. Options are great.

that will be the plan:tiphat:

i run coco dtw in the flat garden with open end 1/4" hose. however this will be a bit harder or will require some more hardware to get a even flow across the whole thing i suspect..

any suggestion on how to regulate this to get even flow across the board? pump suggestion etc? I see a few stadium threads but not many that get into detail like pumps and such... If possible i will like to stay away from drippers as they clog all to often for some reason even running straight maxi but it seems this will have to be the way to go? :joint:

Have you given a coliseum any thought? You get much more canopy with donuts than a stadium. Too many dead corner spots on stadiums imo...

i have, but thought this might be easier and quicker to put together. I actually had some heath racks in mind.. maybe down the road tho:joint:

and i dont have much space to work with. i think the coliseum would be easier to work with if i had a bit more head room.
