:blowbubbles:Hello, I'm a beginner grower who has 3 plants just starting their flowering phase today under 8 bulb floro setup. I plan on eventually getting into breeding and after a year or so I would love to have my own strains out there. Just visited California and learned all the outdoor tips and tricks, so now I just have to see if I can make it indoor ;)

hmm yeah my best advice would be give it a bit more time than after a year lol,, you will realise soon enough how long it takes to even begin to start to think about "breeding" and not just chucking pollen around,, just think how many years of experience some people around here have... you have a long way to go but the best always aim as high as possible.. love your enthusiasm :D

knock em dead kid!

happy growing :smokeit:

I was gonna coment on the breeding but didnt know where to start lol. I've been growing since 92' an it was 3 years ago when I decided to breed my own autoflower seeds. So yea I think ya got some learnin to do first. Get to know the plant first an go from there. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom. I figure it couldn't hurt to fool around with breeding and collecting pollen from exceptional plants.

First of all, welcome. Learn all that you can and keep what is useful although I have to admit that there is just so much that is useful and helpful that most all will be kept..

Now, I admire your ambition although as everyone else has mentioned, after a year or three or seven, you just might realize that you've learned just about enough to be dangerous!! LOL

Don't push or rush.. it's not a race. It's a journey. Enjoy it and take it easy. Wishing all the best and don't be shy and remember there are no stupid questions except the ones not asked. Those are the most foolish questions of all...

Good Luck

only one way to learn :D

imo there is alot of stuff to learn before you can be sure that what you are seeing isnt just the result of your growing technique..

if you want to be an actual breeder one day, i'd say get that locked down first and know the ropes and grow em to a really high standard and then you can trust that your selection criteria is being applied fairly between different girls..

still pollinate whatever your instinct says would be good and if you can store em then there its just breeding stock for the future if you want to do some proper line breeding through generations..
