Ever thought about marketing your otherworldly sniffing/tasting skills? Could be valuable as a sommolier (that's spelled absolutely wrong, but the wine quality people who work for vineyards, etc), starting up an alternative health thing where you sniff out people's diseases or something, first response leak detection in mines (who needs pigeons, they're just stealing jobs from people), or just a taste tester. I'm sure some major corporation needs people who are so confident in their ability to smell and taste things that they tell other people not to even mention what something smells like. Maybe design excellent scratch n sniff stickers.

I bet some sick twisted person would pay you $300 to smell how bad they smell if you told them how awesome your sense of taste/smell is and how much even moderate odors can offend your senses. They'd be laughin the whole time for making you smell their shit, you'd be laughing because you'd be collecting their cash.

Just some ideas. You could probably combine some.

^ All sarcasm aside, if your sense of smell/taste really is that good, you probably could find a great job in the wine industry. When it's legalized hit me up because I myself will be looking for cannabis testers....now that will be one hell of a cushy (kushy..?) job! :smoker:

Bro why in the fuck arent you out there blowing up a warehouse somewhere to put food on the table for your family?? Fuck a job, and fuck a boss. You got the resources at your fingertips right here to make your own job! The kind of job where $300 is chump change! Get after it playa... :bashhead:

Sell anything not essential to eating and having a roof via craigslist.

Be surprised what you don't "need". I sold my bed last year to keep electricity on. Still alive - no rotting food in the fridge...back gets sore from time to time, but carpet isn't really hard - compared to concrete under a bridge.

Do what you must - remain thankful.

Damn Frank sorry to hear that, I honestly hope the OP and you have some good luck blow into your life!

OK serious Idea you would NOT believe what people pay here in Santa Cruz to have their palm read, hoonestly just say some good shit about their lives and $40 and 10 min later your done...if you can act you could be a fortune teller and here at least, they ALL use Craigslist and come to your house and I know one that makes an "easy" $1K per week....

Yep... very limited options in such a small town.

Still.... some great ideas there folks. Would love to put my nose/tongue/touch to work, will definitely be thinking along those lines.

Most growers around here are NOT interested in someone like me 'testing' their meds. Would LOVE that job though. LOL I'd make a great tester for meds for anyone buying from multiple growers. One sniff/toke and I'll let you know if it needs further testing for contaminates I can't detect. Would suck for them to have me rejecting everything though... only came across like 1% of the meds in dispensaries that were worth anything.

Hrmmmm....

:thank you:

Start making cold calls. I don't mean for a living (although it can be quite lucrative), I mean call every place of business in driving range and strike up a conversation about how you can help them. Restaurants always need cleaning, so do many stores, someone might need help with inventory, etc. I would bet there are businesses nearby that could use an extra set of hands, look for someplace that is BUSY. It is mid summer, not sure if you are near vacation spots, they would be busy now, but also heat makes people not want to cook at home, you could cook food and bring it to them. Lawns need mowing, gardens need weeding, gutters need cleaning, and no one feels like doing it! Janitorial staff at schools are busy cleaning. Not to mention how many people call in or go away on vacation this time of year. Keep your head up and make a ton of calls. Just don't let the "no's" slow you down.

Hmmmm....well most families these days are dual income families...children or not.

You and your wife should both have jobs instead of just the wife working and you staying home to take care of the child. Sucks but that's the way it is in this world and the way we as humans have chosen to build our world.....and since everyone values money over ANYTHING else (even human life) in this world, you are forced to put your income needs OVER anything and everything else.......

Now you would think that eventually over time, people would see what a tragic mistake it is to make money so valuable and needed for your very survival! But alas, I guess we (humans) are really really slow learners.......

Ask a dieing man with only hours to live what his checking account balance is or how the stock market is fairing to day....ashame that we have to literally be almost dead to understand money it is not what is important (slow learner theory at work here)....when your time is up for this life...... no amount of cash or stocks can buy even a second more of life..

I wish you luck. Try and stay honest if at all possible as the world is already filled with enough "scams" as it is......I wish the people suggesting these type solutions would be on the other end of the stick for once and see how it feels to be "cheated" or "scammed". It is not a good feeling.

And because of it we have a totally screwed society.

No... One parent needs to stay home with the child/children. Period.
The fact it isn't done is criminal. If you value the quality of life of your children... you'll make sure you do the same.

I value family life over money, don't lie and have a VERY happy family (did I mention VERY HAPPY? LOL). The $300 is just to cover what's gone missing on my upcoming check. If I was "all about money" I'd move to a populated area and make a shit ton.... Not interested. *shrug*

Shmalphy has the best suggestion of everyone so far. Thanks Shmalphy. :) No's don't bother me, did market research for a few years. LOL

:thank you: Everyone!
