please please please can we have longer to reply to a thread than we currently get. I just spent half an hour typing up a detailed reply in the breeders lab. when I hit post I was told i wasnt logged in anymore and lost the whole post. I tried going back to the previous page but the post was lost. this is so annoying. please extend the time that we get to reply to a post before kicking us out and costing us our replies. This really does seem a stupid addition to the coding of this site and has no benefits to anyone at all.

high bro!

the logout timer is a security measure (a good idea)... why not prewrite long texts in a text document and copy paste?

When I write a long reply I often copy the text as I'm writing it, just in case. It's a good habit to get into cause any site can log you out before you're finished. 30 minutes is way longer than most spend writing a reply. Usually you can go back in your browser if the post fails and find the post still there. And yes, it's for your own security.

yeah I did try back paging, but the text box was empty,
I also apreciate that most don't spend 30 mins writing up a response, but some of us do, esp when its a technical reply that goes into detail and requires some thought. I used to be in the habbit of copying before hitting send, but not having been about for a while, I got out of the habbit. Is there any chance of just extending it to 1 hour? The diff in security is so small, and it would be so helpful for detailed responses.

if you have so much to say, or if yr reply contains complexities that need careful articulation write yr reply in an office program and copy/paste ... cut/paste it to post.
