Led t5 grow

Well I thought I'd share some pics of what I've been up to these days. I've got a small space in my closet that I've been working with.
I started by poping 11 seeds on may 31. I went with 5 Sadhu from mandala, 5 snowdog bx1 from reservoir seeds, and one bag seed which I found in my collection that I labeled "aaa kush". It was probably the only seed in an ounce or two of some top shelf kush. Maybe purple or bubba?
Anyway I had them under cfl's for the first month before I got my shit together and got a 210w led called powerbloom made by growthstar and led canada. I've searched the internets and can't find anyone else using this light. I think its a fairly new brand so it looks like I'm the guinea pig. Anyway after repotting the plants and building the cabinet I only had room for 9 plants so I put a sadhu and a snowdog outside. I eventually ditched the cfl's and went with t5s instead. So on top of the 210w led I've got 4 2' t5's at 24w each and 4 3' t5's at 39w each. That brings me up to 54w per square foot.

cool glad you like. I switch them to 12/12 july 15th. After sexing I was left with four females. it turns out that two I put outside were females also. they were topped after the third set of leaves and I did a bit of lst'ing also.

@dubwise, thanks man. The plants are doing all the work. I'm just watching the grass grow.

@DTE, I vegged for a month and a half from seed. The first month they were just in beer cups under 6 26w cfl's.

@smoooth, thanks man. The lighting setup allows me to play with them and adjust them to get 'em just where I want.

@PetFlora, ya that's what I was thinking. I also give the plants a 1/4 turn every day to help even things out.

@bombadil.360, I think you're right. when I first set things up I was keeping the led about 18" from the plants and at that height I was losing some of the spread. I've got the led about 6" from the tops now and I seem to be making better use of the light.

Day 28 of 12/12. I removed a bunch of fan leaves after the stretch around day 24 or 25 to allow more light penetration. I believe I've found my 2 keepers. One of them is the kush and the other is one of the snowdogs. The 2 plants are totally opposite in their structure and growing styles. The kush has big thick inflexible stocks. She didn't respond well to lst'ing, and I think she would have been happier if she wasn't topped. The kush also took more water and food than any other plant from the start.
The snow dog is just the opposite. It requires the least amount of water and food. It has small little stems that are easy to train. Even the fan leaves are small on this one. Maybe 4 or 5 inches max. There was almost no stretch. The plant is as wide as it is tall with the most budsites and biggest buds so far. The smell is incredible to. A very strong syrup smell almost like burnt maple syrup.

that is a really cool led light

looks like you are going to get some solid dense nugs on those girls.

out of the keepers that you are choosing, what is it that you are looking for pheno wise?

Hey medmaker, the snowdog pheno just has a nice short bushy structure to her, and nice frosty stinky buds. The buds are bigger and more filled in than the other chemdog also. Its also 3 or 4 inches shorter than the other plants. I've actually put a book under it to have a more even canopy. The next run I might just let her do her thing and just put the one plant in the cab and veg it a little longer.
I want to keep the kush because, well it has more crystal production than any of the others, even on the fan leaves and stems. It also has a real pungent aroma. And hey, its an s1 of either bubba or pk.

Hey Zen Master, they were started under cfl's, and the first couple of pics have the cfl's in them. The later pics have the t5's
