if shes the one, I'd do what she wants. a happy family is hard to come by these days, move to a med state when you can, then there is nothing anyone can legally do, well besides the feds, but thats a whole different set of problems. not having weed for a few years is not as bad as not having loved ones, any day. just my 2 cents though.

Plus the upside of this is you could move a mistriss into the new spot to help with the trim sitchyation.

The non-Med state is what gets you, its def not worth it at all.
Be better off moving to a med state and starting over legally without having to worry about all that.
As far as the kid goes I as a father personally would rather introduce them to the grow environment if they peaked interests rather then deterring them away. But I live in a Med State with Valid Cultivation Rights.
I have 2 sons and my oldest has always been interested. He has no interest in the finish product nor wanting to smoke it but rather enjoys the relaxation of the room and the flowers bring and also learns a lot about responsibility by learning to care for it and I teach him in my own way about cannabis. I knew about pot since I was about 6 but I didn't smoke any until I was about 19 yet all my buddies whose parents forbid the thing started smoking around 13-15...
Personally I feel that if you try and hide something from your children all your going to do is peak their interests and force them to discover it on their own terms which usually involves the darker side by going to "The guy" we try to stay clear from. You all know this is true because everyone of us has done something our parents told us not to just to do it. If you introduce them to the grow in a controlled environment under your supervision then I don't see any harm and they will get much clearer information and insight from you rather then what they pick up on the street or whats cool with their friends. To each his own though just my two cents

After a few days of meditation followed by medication I am feeling a little different.
Grow some balls and stand up for your culture or go back to buying shit and always Joinesing for weed. I mean I understand its your kid and everything, but the day 5year old tells me how Im going to live my life is I day a 5 year old gets a job and starts exploring their own lifestyle choices outside of the family unit.

I would definitely tear down but at the same time, I would reassess my role in that unit and figure out why the female is the dominant figure. I love strong, intelligent women but NO ONE is going to force me to do anything I don't want to. But hey, that's just me.
one thing that is crucial when you have a kid is telling the truth. If your kids find out you lied to them they will lie to you. Letting your kids know you grow your own medicine, but for security you need to keep it a secret is a better answer to a found plot compared to a stumbling half answer.
Your kids are the future, why not inform them at a proper age, or when they find it? When I broke my arm as a child my parents told me all about these drugs I was taking, they also informed me of all the foods I was ingesting.
We need to remove the stigma that marijuana is a drug. Drug is a fucking awful word. Aspirin is a drug, as is Heroin, as is Xanax, and tons of others that "alter" the mind, body, and soul. Drug is as general a term as animal. Is a human the same as a whale, or a pelican, or a duckbill platypus?

Labs continue to make chemicals to feed the people while a plant is persecuted. The only reason it is worth so much in the first place is you fuckers made it illegal.

I think you are getting some terrible advice here.Whether you continue to grow or not is a tough call, but people who are telling you to bring a five year old up to speed on your hobby are irresponsible and out of touch. A five year old cannot possibly understand the consequences of growing. It is way too much information, completely unnecessary, and wildly reckless. A child's mind is sharp but easily distracted. Don't ever bring this up in conversation with ANYBODY. Let the kid forget. Put a few veggie seedlings out, have the kid get used to you growing stuff. Houseplants, outdoor garden, flowers. Don't say shit to the kid. There are stories all the time of kids getting their mom or dad busted. They don't know the reality of the world.

Only enough for personal use, plant count minimum,all the technology needed for success. I have lived in a very unfriendly state and grown for myself for 8 years and for the very first time smoked this summer with a few people I know. Here's an idea to shut the bitch up. Before you harvest, take a few nice pictures of you, her and your grow for a keepsake since "you'll be tearing down for good." Make sure you can easily identify her in the picture. Then, stash the pix somewhere SAFE.
Next time she tries to blackmail you, remind her of the photos and how it sure looks like she was a big part of the grow
