I actually loaded that pic up to show the mite damage in another thread to show how little of a problem they are lol. Keep in mind, it's mid summer, with heat waves, mites in full bloom outdoors, I don't use any chemicals, or toxic pesticide dunks, and I have never lost a plant to mites. They come and they go, I just spray em with a lil cilantro and they die.

The big difference about my grow and what I see here is that I wouldn't touch any of the chemmy buds I see in this thread with a ten foot pole, never mind serve them to terminally ill people. I would like to see the standard raised and see people STOP adulterating their cannabis with sprays that require you to "dress up like a ghostbuster" YMMV.

Sorry if I come off as a douche, that was not my intention. Be good!

Even if you sprayed cilantro on your girls and killed every spider mite in your grow room......The spider mite droppings (poop) remains all up in your buds. Plus the dead spider mites and their eggs remain in your buds.
You serve your "terminally ill people" buds that any reputable company like "Harborside" would refuse to take.

Then...... once the spider mites corpse's decay....and the poops/droppings that are loaded into your buds decay...they grow mold on them.

So what your telling all of us is that spraying them as a preventive measure during veg is bad, and our growing methods suck...but your spidermite infested buds are better for terminally ill people in the end because you didnt take the time to spray them in veg to insure bug free nuggets?

Spray them in veg!!!! = NO MITES! NO CHEMICAL BUDS!

Looking real sticky coastal! Does she taste like she smells? Sounds deelish.

I also have a question on a couple local cuts I recently got. One is a blueberry sativa and the other is M.O.B.

I'm pretty sure I've seen pics or info on both of those cuts here but can't find them in this superlong thread. Wondering if anyone who's had it could share some pics or info I'm just curious what I can expect with these.

MOB is an outdoor variety, towards the blueberry spectrum I think, "Mother of Berries"

The Blueberry sativa is a Pre 2k Blueberry, that seems to express a lot of Thai sativa in the mix. Great smell and really dank, from the nugs I've been able to sample.

OMG thank you I need a good laugh. That place is a joke, ever actually been there? I wouldn't smoke any of that garbage. It is like a beaster depot...

I spray LAB on them, (home cultured) which eats up any debris and feeds it back to the plant in a process known as symbiosis. It also disrupts the reproductive cycle of the mites, if there are any left.

I wouldn't serve sub par bud to anyone, and I am comfortable that all my patients know that, which is why I post everything here for them to see.

We are going to have to agree to disagree here I guess.

Ok, lets get back to REAL conversations.

If shmalphy just needs to find someone to mindlessly head-butt with, I'm sure he can find it somewhere else.

shmalphy, you remind me much of an old member here, heavy dank dawg or whatever is name was, you're a good grower but at the same time with the attitude you carry around you'll never get better. How do you expect to grow as a grower when your not open to others suggestions, opinions, and advice and your always right? If that was the case and you were always right than how come your not running some huge warehouse of plants out west, teaching at oaksterdam, winning cannabis cups, or just simply doing something better with your life than coming on a educational website and acting like a complete child, let me guess you wouldn't want to do that even though you could because your completely satisfied with your 600w set up (typical childish answer that I expect from you). Now do us all a favor go pick up a bottle of Azamax ( yes it organic!) and get rid of those spider mites so you can finally serve up some sub par buds to your friends, if you even have any. I can't imagine anyone being able to tolerate you in person for more than 30 mins. I'll keep smoking on my "chemmy" buds I know they suck, but to me its better than smoking on a whole bunch of mites covered in cilantro, I can go pick up some grass and dirt and top it with herbs from my garden if I wanted to do that. I understand I am lowering to your level right now but sometimes someone needs to hear they're being a A-hole by others to even realize they're coming off as a A-hole, its not your fault it just how you are, but you can work on that now that more than 1 person has told you.

Ok now for some real posting.......I am somewhat happy to announce that the blueberries are bouncing back reasonably enough for me to keep them around, the chem4 and GC's are getting tossed. I am also happy to say that I am 99% sure at this point that the BM's are not the cause of the problems, I do believe it was a lockout issue and still being newer to growing bigger plants I think the 10 gal pots had a longer time to get it ph back in check. I know when I used 1 or 3 gals and seen this issues it was much easier/less time for the plants to correct themselves, plus having 3 ways to check ph now helps, lol. Also since I will be tossing 3 of the 5 big plants out this now means I am going to use the Aptus line of nutes I got on my GSC's and 1 of the blueberries, the other bluerberry will get fed what I normally feed and it'll be a side by side comparison of the two! I'll post some pics up soon!

Ahh sorry ras she's now dead and hanging...

Scrappy, yeah she keeps the sweet apple smell. Nice pickup on those 2 cuts, I've smoked a bunch of both and they are both very dank, grew a bunch of the blueberry sat too. Not sure if you grow outside but that MOB is one of the best outdoor plants you can come across, done early sept.... Very photosensitive so she starts flowering before anything else when days start getting shorter. Anyways, both are pretty easy to grow. The blue sat is pretty quick, average feeder, usually stays happy, and be ready for the stretch in flower as it will get big. MOB will veg slowly, if you want a respectable yield inside then you are going to need to train it, I'd get that done early though because she trains very slowly as well. Not much stretch on the MOBs. In flower you can cut out most of the N she really doesn't need it unless she tells you. MOB done @ 50-60. Blue sat done @ 60-65.

The M.O.B just loves to grow fat nugs that smell like a berry wine, I took her 60 when I grew her and thought it was overkill, 53-56 might have been the sweet spot, I will say her smoke is excellent but she wasn't my favorite plant to grow for all the reasons coastal mentions and I am indoors, outdoors she probably a dream....If its the same blue sativa thats been passed around well that shit is one of my favorite plants I've ever grown, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but for me that shit is the probably one of the best all around "elites" I've grown; her smell, taste, potency, yields, and ease of growth are a grower delight.

Dude thank you so much for the info! Now I can look for some pics of MOB without it turning up results for Mob Boss heh.

^^^ someone rolls their own butts huh? Thats my next step man, I've done in the past but broke the cheapo machine I bought. Then tried quiting, then those E-cigarettes, then back to smoking. Hell if I cant beat it, Im going to beat the system.

Bud looks great, man.

Anyone know a safe way to kill thrips in veg and flower? I know about spinosad sprays but wasnt clear on if I could use it in flower.

How far into flowering you talking, Yuno? Unless it's week 1 and a really bad thrip problem I wouldn't bother with it in bloom. They don't do much damage outside of making some ugly fan leaves.

I would recommend trying JMS Stylet Oil. It's safe, tasteless and has no smell at all (unlike many of the other products)

It's organic from Grass Seed, and can be safely sprayed on plants up to the day before you harvest. Lots of people who sell to dispensaries in cali use this, to save crops from spider mites or Powdery Mildew....

1 Gallon Jug Organic JMS Stylet-Oil
Retail Price: $25.95

Sorry looks like I missed both of your posts somehow.

Thanks for the info I really am excited about both of these I've been looking for a quality blueberry for a long time. Yeah it's been a real good week, nice to know people who know people, and it all goes round again.

I'll be looking forward to giving back when my train comes in. Lots of great new stuff in the works.

yeah man, i just picked up some GreenLight Lawn & Garden with Spinosad and the package says it's safe to use on fruits and veggies up until 1 day before harvest but i'd still not spray late in flower for fear of mold.

i think instead i'd just wait it out in the flower tent while treating all my vegging plants, most especially those being readied for the next run, actually, that's what i'm doing as we speak, lol.

with you running staggered i'd just be sure to treat everything new that i put into the tent, that way any thrips that try to feed off the new plants will die and after a while all the untreated plants will have been harvested and all you'll be left with is those that have been treated.
