Yeah... that would be a bad idea. Zamaldelica is all kinds of terrifyingly up and a little too psychedelic/scary/paranoid for social uses. The 3 or 4 zips that were pulled down have barely been touched as its just SO much to handle.

By pheno, the african-ish is so heavy and dense you can't move, but is up at the same time. The thai-ish is so up you have to move but can't think about anything other than OMG this is scary high. Neither is good for once in a while smokers or for being social unless you're looking for paranoid conversations about bears eating you.

wow.. aside from Oriental Express these are some of the worst recommendations I've come across in a thread asking for suggestions. De145, Ace's VB is very social weed so the OE or VB/Thai would suit you well.

3. must know how to set up a tent.

4. must know how to start a campfire and to do it safely.

you are right, I wasn't taking in consideration the fact that they are eventual smokers.

Well this presents a problem, not only will we have to teach the weed the basic physical principles of making fire, but we will also have to make them boy scouts... and before that they have to be cub scouts.

im going camping soon and taking; three bubba kush crosses and some other bits off a friend, 30 hawaiian baby woodrose seeds, 50 grams of peruvian torch catus, 20 grams of peyote, 40 grams of hollandaise magic truffles and other shamanistic entheogenic delights for the brain,,,

just going to sit on my ass in a huge canvas tent tripping, eating and smoking,, and then vomiting,, maybe do a bit of walking and fishing then do it all again.. wont need to trip out for ages after this..

I regularly go camping with a group of friends and we like to smoke some weed and have a relaxed good time.

Too often though we end up with hybrids or too indica leaning that leave us sitting around the campfire staring at it, not that there's anything wrong with that but it's kind of a wasted weekend.

I'd like a strain that is good for the day time when we're doing activities like going for a little hike and want to laugh and chit-chat the whole time.

Nothing that makes you feel like lying down or is too introspective or too edgy.

In other words a day time or evening party strain that is sociable, energetic but not too edgy or sleep inducing.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

You have plenty good genetics to choose from our catalogue to enjoy outdoor activities and social moments with family and friends.

If you are looking for fast flowering plants then Orient Express and Tikal are best choices, nepalese jam and bangi haze are also good but i find the first 2 to have a more social clear kind of high.

If you have the chance to explore the long flowering sativas then double thai and vietnam black thai would be my recommendations.

Green Haze Thai, Purple Haze Thai, Oldtimer's Haze and Zamaldelica have more trippy less social effect but sure they are fun outdoors too, especially in summer time.

EDIT: Sorry, just saw you were looking only at ACE seeds. I haven't tried any, but they look very much up my alley and am gonna snag a few packs off of the Boutique! I'll leave my random recs here in case they might be of any use in the future.

Hey de145, I tend to like strains similar to the description in your original post. In terms of social pot, I would maybe recommend a bubblegum-based strain (I like BogBubble). They are indica-dom but not heavy or lethargic, just happy and talkative. I also liked DJ's Grape Krush. And the Kali Mist suggestion was also good, though it takes a long time to grow and if you smoke too much, it can be quite trippy.
