The Mango Marijuana Effect for Medicinal Patients

Full Article @ http://voices.yahoo.com/shared/print.shtml?content_type=article&content_type_id=8098691

"The mango has just been recently discovered to be a perfect ally for marijuana smokers, both recreational and medicinal, around the globe. This is because myrcene terpenes are found in mangos which are also coexistent in cannabis and marijuana. Myrcene is an organic compound most commonly used in the fragrance industry because of the sweet aroma is produces. This is why plants containing myrcene terpenes such as mango's, lemon grass, cannabis, and hops have a sweet odor. The chemical myrcene (specifically the terpenes within it) helps the psychoactive ingredients in marijuana travel faster and more efficiently through the blood brain barrier ultimately increasing, strengthening, and even lengthening the 'high' feeling.

The idea of a mango supplementing the marijuana high is great news especially for medicinal marijuana patients. This is a cheaper and healthier form for patients to be pain free for prolong amounts of time. To get started eat either one or two mango's roughly an hour before smoking. This allows for the mango to be properly digested and the terpenes to have entered into your blood stream. Having a fast or slow metabolism does factor in the experiment, so to be safe and precautious only start by ingesting one mango at a time.

Eating the mango before you smoke allows for the effects of marijuana to happen faster, but to lengthen the time of the effects of marijuana it is advisable to eat a mango after you have started smoking or even during. It is also healthy to eat mangos as part of our daily diet because the fruit provides essential nutrients and sugars that our bodies need. This also solves the common problem of having '‹Å"the munchies.' This is a safe and healthy alternative to having other snacks that could propose health issues and concerns. "

Mangos are everywhere where i live,, drippin on the trees right now..... their a staple part of our diet this time of year, theres 3 different kinds here a small reddish one that dosent really get yellowish ripe,,its eatin as a hard fruit like an apple with this nasty ass ground up salty shrimp mix thats been fermented and smells as bad as it tastes, my favorite is the oblong mango that gets soft and yellow when ripe, and getting one ripe off the tree is pretty sweet, the 3rd is a big mango, about a kilo each ,,some bigger,, they get soft when ripe and turn a light green, not as sweet as the yellow ones but have that mango power punch flavor..
Couldnt tell ya if it makes me "higher" or not Im a daily all day-er.
I have made some teas from them but nothing worth reporting.

True that brotha,,true that... I have the luxury of letting um go forever,,kept one going for over a year and the bud was news worthy for sure.

Isn't the stank a natural defense from animals? Not sure but I think this is why. Kinda like trichs being a protectant from uv's at higher elevations.

Noone really knows the true purpose of resin,etc..or the smell,etc..there are alot of theories around..uvb protection..animal attractant/deterrant....human intervention...its all anecdoctal at this point..

I think we can say forsure that resin production is influenced by uv's from all the side by sides. Also if you just look at the landrace strains at high elevation, one can take an educated observation and realize how much UV's influences resin production.

Anyway off subject, so Kiwi and Papaya to add to the list......NICE!

agreed..^^^ but whos to say that this isnt caused by different atmospheric conditions..different nighth temps..etc..being illegal, bioligists simply havnt observerd it in its natural habitat..we havnt seen what effect it has on animals..

surely it cant deter them too much..since guerrillas growers use fences toeep animals at bay..

i believe that uvb DOES increase resin output..but I cant say its 100% scientific fact..

i dont have the means to conduct lab grade, side by side, controlled studies
