I don't know about buying seeds and soil and stuff and then growing ... as if it's a recipe ...

but I do know that: THE LEARNING IS IN THE DOING!!!

give yr ideas a try. yr bound to learn heaps!

as a new grower, you will have great success, and great failures.

:woohoo:

it is all a part of learning. one bit of advice i can give is, keep it simple. in all my many years, the more complicated i made things, the worse my grows were. after all, it is just a weed. really it is a weed.

the setup you describes sounds good. do not over nute them babies. i used pro-blend in the past, good stuff.

welcome and nice setup.. similar to my first.. the only advice I have is to not over nute.. FFOF can take you a long way pending your veg times. just listen to the plant it will tell you what it needs and remember this..... less is more... ive taken some plants all the way with ffof with nothing. I have also had deficiencies. Not to rag on ffof but it does have inconsistencies which I think all soil producers have. One youve over nuted a soil it is hard to fix... eeezy girl.... :)

I would transplant at least twice, hopefully before any sign of deficiency. I would also add two tbs of dolomite lime per gal and let it cook for two weeks, keeping the soil moist. Unless you grow monsters, which no one does there first time it seems the FFOF should take you at least through veg. So close to being organic ...why not? The lime you added replaces cal mag. Roots Organic Grow (just in case) and Roots Bloom. Or If you can find the old school Pure blend pro original. Or neptunes fish 2-4-1 and some kelp meal/liquid. Also no need for a pH meter....KISS. Check out the organic soil forum.
