Anyone ever try C.A.P's Valuline inline fans? good or bad

For the past six months I've been using a valueline attached to a phresh filter in a DR120. Keeps the air clean and cools a 600w hood setup to just 4 degrees over room temp. I'd buy it again if I need another fan.

Been using 2, 6" valulines and one 8" for a few years now. We also have an 8" active air and an 6" ecoplus and the valulines are a bit noiser, the 6" more so than the 8".

For the price I would definetly go with the valulines again, unless of course noise was a huge concern, then I would go with something else.

I've been using one for about 18+ months with out failure. But CAP does make a lot of cheap crap. They didn't give me the mounting 'legs' or hardware with mine. I had to rig it up. But it does work. almost every thing else I've bought with the CAP logo I've thrown away by now. If CAP replaces anything under warranty I'd be surprised. Ive never gotten anything replaced or fixed. I'd probably try a Max fan next time.

I had a 12" CAP fan that started vibrating and squeaking within 4 months....I ordered a 12" Can Fan (which moves more air and is quieter). Sent the CAP fan it and got a new one no questions asked---its now a backup.

I've never had problems with Vortex, Max-Fan, can-fan, or growbright fans

If you can afford one get a Max Fan but other people like the CAP fans and have had no problems.....just my experience

like any manufacturing process there is human error and bad parts ect. cap has no higher failure rates than any other manufacturers maybe better . as i own alot of their gear and very few failures . the stuff that failed , failed quickly or was damaged to begin with.

wow these are all things that are valuable for me to know. thank you. my lady and our garden thank you.

but I do think our 6" max fan is really quiet. especially on medium> speed. maybe we are thinking of different models. this is the exact model from the exact store. here

its just too low of cfm to handle the whole 775 cu ft and 1200w's with a filter attached :)

Just looked up the 6" max fan, that would be quieter. My experience is with an 8" max fan and it does double the CFM of the 6" when the 6 is set on high. The 8" and up aren't adjustable speed, and like I said before, don't hold up so well on an adjustable thermostat.

i have 3 of the 8" and 2 of the 6"

they work great, however i did recently have one start making noise on me.
i called the hydro shop to see if they would warranty any of the valuline stiff, they said 5 year warranty, cmon in and switch it out.

so 1 of my 5 fans took a shit (after about 3 years) and it was replaced under their 5 year warranty.
