Hey people, hope everyone is doing good. I have this gunk building up in my reservoir, these pics are about two days after mixing.

And here is what it looked like on my PPM probe.

I am using heads formula for coco, with 3ml/gallon of protekt added before any other nutes are added. Also using 2ml/gallon of SM90. I also started using bloomblastic, right now I am using 1.5ml/gallon. I am thinking it might be this, as it has a somewhat green tint to it, but I am not sure. EC is at 1.2, ph drifts from 5.7 up to 6.2 range. The temp is like 81 F, as the basement is kind of hot.

Let me know if anyone has any idea what this may be caused by. Thanks a lot.

That's not good, looks like mold. I would nuke everything with bleach.

I Always clean the Rez with bleach, an the outside of the pumps. Should I run bleach water through the pumps you think? Forgot to mention, it smells pretty nasty in there.

I actually found something similar when I was emptying my dehuey in my basement today. I guess water can act like a petri dish and collect and grow what is in the air given the right conditions.

Is it hot and humid in there? looks for definite you have the spores and they have found food and moisture to multiply. Im not a hydro guy but I'd imagine you have to clean everything the water has touched. When I clean my cloner I get gunk build up inside my pump, kind of a bitch to clean.

What ever it is and cant be good, mold and mildew are bad news.

are you using ro or tap water with chlorine? Also are you using an air pump? You suppose to keep it aerated. How much sm-90 you using? Mix the bloombastic really well with warm water before adding to res. It's not the sm-90, unless you're using too much. Also, how long you going between changing the res?
