12" Minimum, on full blast and as close to the lamp as possible

It sounds like it should be fine, how far away were the plants gonna be from that bulb?
rube, theyre about 22" right now. do you think a 20" box fan from walmart would be good to put under the bulb?...would it be too noisy?....just checkin out fans online. lowes is 20 miles from me and walmart is only 10. lol

I use one of these under each 1k... propped up on a milk-crate....killer air flow...
and the extra outlets make easy for daisy chaining the units to one plug....

6-8 inches...so much air flow the whole bulb & fixture...gently blows side to side in the breeze...

but heath always said '' hot air rises all ya need is to guide it, big air willl blast it all over the room, a big fan on low is better''

i tryed from full speed heat issues, to a 18inch fan on a dimmer down loooowwww n heats gone .

key is extraction at top on full

:yeahthats

Sorry Yort, those stanley blowers blow too hard to be kept under the lamps... You just need a small honeywell on low... In my octagon I have a manifold for the intake, so it gently blows air around the plants, and I don't even need the muffin fan under my stack with the exhaust directly above it.
