thanks man. ecsd and aj's are both in there for another comparison. the sd ibl i ran was really good strong smoke but only smelled of diesel. no funk from the sour side. i need the funk!

i dont think i have grown white russian. i grew white rhino once and it was super dense and frosty. they were community beans made by Peat if i am not mistaken. wish i still had a cut!

maybe phillthy or dankfrank can help me on this,i have a couple different phenos of RM's grom x gk. one has giant fat fan leaves that remind me of straight grape krush and super dense frosty buds,the other pheno is just as frosty but not quite so dense and the fan leaves are much smaller.am i right about the fan leaves indicating a more grape krush leaning pheno? because that one is looking like the keeper...

Looks nice Unc - hard to tell without a plant shot - BUT

Grom can get some fat leaves to her - grows REALLY vigorous - up AND out -but the DEAD give away - is it gets what I call a "dumbo leaf" thing going for it - the fan leaves - the stems coming out start upward - then kind of "U" like a bow - and the fan hangs there like a big floppy ear from Disney's Dumbo character.

The smell of Grom is that of WHITE grape juice - go open a bottle of Welches and take a wiff - and THAT is GROM all day. Grape Krush - tends to, in my experience have a deeper / darker color green leaf - that would make you think - OH, this one could go purple - some call it a deeper blue-ish green - then some will come and say your plant is dark green like that because of too much nitrogen or Mg.

However - I've found with several genetic lines having GK as the daddy - never seen any benefit come from using GK as the mother - have these deeper / darker leaves just by genetic attribute. Lines fathered by GK, when the GK expression tends to be stronger - always seem to have a more floral / concord grape vine flower smell to them. ALSO - the flowers them selves - seem less like "buds" or "nugs" - and tend to have more of a flower petal feel to them - like a rose petal if you rub it between your fingers - the flowers are more like, well, flowers.

Grom - tends to be more the standard dense / hard / nugget we are all familiar with.

Grom - does have a deeper green to it - not bright green like a chem - but IT DOESN'T look "blue-ish" as some would describe grape krush offspring.

Pictured above - is a Grom Bx2 - which is worked by Phillthy off Retardo's Grom x Grape Krush. As you can see - the long, thinner blades, yet broad leaves - and how they kinda - "dumbo flop" - this plant was an IDEAL expression from within the Bx2 generation...

AND WOW UNC - that is one SUPER frosty gal you are sporting there - where can I see more?!?

that was very helpful,that looks just like what i have,the fan leaves are just like that and the buds are rock solid...theres more pics in the grom x gk album,been too busy to do any threads but im trying to get shots of them when i can..they come down in about a week or so...

the GK leaning phenos tend to have a more sturdy stem. i always had to prop grom up. grom x gk was some great smoke!
