HellHound IX1

HellHound IX1

I finished my indoor with a run of 1st generation Hell Hound. It is working for me....I love smoking out of those...still not cured...jars. Very telling....proof in the pudding sort of thing.

I won't be flowering indoors until sometime in the fall...probably after or around the predicted pit harvest. When I do resume flowering in the studio...it will be a lights-on-let's-flower kind of a deal. So in preparation...to stay in the flow...I started some beans.

Hell Hound is moving in directions...that I find...the most favorable for an extended journey down its rabbit hole. It's turning into my favorite stuff to grow...and smoke. In response to these findings...I took beans from 2 Hell Hound selections...to follow the progression into the IX1 generation.

* If you followed the run: I'm using beans from Selection #1 and Selection #2

** The #2 was quite realistically an Odessa IX2...but as pollen was blended...can't be confirmed. #2 tastes different from the other expressions. She is a very oily/greasy flower...the aroma so very funky....just super flowers for joints. Rather tiny seeds as well....good things come in tiny beans...word to the wise

*** The #1 was the most OG Jam influenced expression. A powerhouse of a smoke...funky...bubblegum...potent. Quite respectable...with a great structure.

Work starts beyond the F1 generation?

" You know it. F1s (as we know them here) are not that personal or artistic....any cultivator can make them with great success. Beyond the wall of the F1 is where the rabbit leads...follow the tracks of any rabbit...it'll go round and round...unless you stop it "

EDIT: I started a pretty good pinch of beans....Friday-Saturday soaked in a shot glass of RO water...Saturday afternoon planted into their bin of coco. Most good fresh beans...pop surface for me within 2-3 days. Anything past 5 days is bogus

The best way to start your day...and the best place to smoke a joint:plant grow:

Yes..I agree...not bad at all. You were gone...but now are back? You are Chem DD everlast? What up dude...

* we have build up today....hotter than hell....a fair chance at rain. I need to be close to home...but I'm squeezing in a run..up under...the forming cells. Get a good sweat on...flush the system of society. I last ran Saturday...and on that day...was bashed up pretty good by the PCT/sun/heat...drained me painfully. Rested a day...hit it again..different trail hell.

** I'll be smoking some Hell Hound a friend grew (same friend that grew the Sour D)....before my voyage up the trail. He gave me a fine ass jar of his harvest...nice to smoke someone else's harvest....if not just to see....what the grower produced with the beans you gifted. Well grown stuff.

out out out

The Hell Hounds live! Stoked to see a critical dude like yourself enjoy his own stuff. I hope to get there some day....

On that note : I've been smoking many, many joints and bowls of my recent harvest, and I,along with everybody I've shared it with am thoroughly impressed. This is serious, take no prisoners kinda weed. Bullet points:

CJ F3 : Lemongrassy,herbal,skunky/fuely nuggets of happyness.Pretty astounded at the uniformity. Plants grow, look and smoke so similarly I don't feel phenotypes are worth mentioning.I had the buds numbered out in individual jars. After a few days of that I just felt ridiculous and threw em together in a couple of gallon jars:biggrin:
I took half at ten-ish weeks and the other half at twlve and a half. While the ten-weeker is good, the twelve is the bellringer for sure. Much deeper, more complete feeling. Awesome summer smokin',goes great with a nice IPA or dry white wine after a long day in the sun. So refreshing. This stuff has fueled many a fishing trip and hillbomb sesh this summer. Most def one of my favorite sativa highs ever.

TFlux F2: Goddamn. Smells like Flo....vanilla,floral,musk-y,perfumy...but I haven't ever smoked a blue plant that had me grinning at the stove while the pizza is cooking inside...trailing off mid-sentence to look at the pretty birdies...leaving my wallet on the counter at the store. Caters to my goofy-ass,hippy self.Potent for sure, but not blurry or stupefying in my normal dosages. But defo more of a rainy day/couch/computer/ kind of smoke.

The Accidentals were so varied it may warrant it's own post. I only had five of these but the phenos ranged from three lemony, incredibly potent, kush type plants with lil golfball nugs,to a BB-sativa kind of expression and a GK-style mutant in between. The sativa pheno is the one I showed you earlier while still in veg. It may be my favorite plant from this round. I almost wonder if a grain of rogue mexican pollen snuck in with the Accs or something, looks VERRRY old school sativa-y. My serious guess though is a the mexi/thai in the GK making a cameo...

Went down at twelve weeks plus, could have gone another month easy...but I had to tear down to take the GF on vacation. A man's gotta do...
I can only imagine what it'll be like finished properly. I have several clones...Even at this point it is awesome weed.
Has a very ''blue'' kind of smell, but deeper. I recognize this ''deep'' aroma as something I've had in equatorial sats before... She is most def. getting knocked up in the future, just need a worthy blue-ish male and I'll have my BB-sat/Flo-alike in the bag.

I'll be watching the Fuck Show and gardens as they unfold, bro. As always you're pulling some awesome, awesome stuff out of the proverbial bag...or should that be pit?

I'm very happy to hear friends having success with the marinades. Often...a lot of craziness has gone into different crosses. Wouldn't say they are for everyone.

As far as inline pollinations...I feel I'm fairly accurate in nailing down the more desirable expressions. By F3 we need not be wasting time on the lesser expressions. Subjective I know...but by then...you should be churning out solid expression with ease.

To me....the best smoking Casey Jones expressions...are the flimsy TW types. Not the best yielders...or my favorite structure (flimsy is actually growing on me...creepers are cool in their own way)...but they often get that real funky/oily/fruity flavor. A jar of flowers like those...my hand reaches for instantly.

* My inline pollinations are not designed to be as "open pollination" I'll use multiple males and females...but I'm still steering them via my selections. I go off the females more than anything else...because I know they resurface predictably. I wouldn't call what I do: preservation. I'm biased

EDIT: Blueberry Sativa expressions...it's not difficult to hook into one....but hooking into a real good one....that can be a challenge. Damn things can flower forever....and I've had mixed results with their quality. Interesting how they have such extended flower windows....makes me think...they need to be grown under equator light cycles. That's kind of why...I've stopped messing with them. I'm unsure whether the genetics fail me...or I them. Beautiful expressions though...ornamental and pretty

I love beans... ah the musical fruit... but you got to throw in a filet mignon every now and again!

Yeah, the CJ feels worked to me. And I like what you've done to it. Very nice all-round. I could have nothing but these and be quite satisfied. It's a reassuring thing to have a line this stable in both seed, plant and bud.

Your other stuff, especially the Acc is WILD. So much character,so many INDIVIDUALS. The sat Acc is flimsy, airy, grin from ear to ear,''hey man roll up another''-kind of weed. The OG Acc. is one bowl and then I'm good or off to bed...

Funny you should mention catering to the BB Sat. Next round I'm splitting my operation in two. Perpetual stadium in one tent and vegged up,trellised sativa-divas in the other. A wall of this sativa Acc being blasted by MH/HPS stacked at 11/13 for as long as needed should be the business me thinks....

edit : goddamn it,you guys. Between the talk of burritos and meat-porn I'm getting the munchies,bad....

Chalupas, Gorditas and chemdog double dis!

Well the Pablos homie, what she lacks in stem strength comes around in an exotic taste/high. Growing the DD is like learning to swing from vines and handle snakes!!

Be it all peace in here !!

Feeling the gaze

Took a couple pictures of the #2 Selection Fuck Show few minutes ago...after I finished feeding. It is my feeling that...this sister...will be a close replica of the "Premium" expression Hell Hound donor I used to mother Fuck Show

By now...y'all understand that I believe in reoccurring expressions. Even though coming from seed stock...I'll bump into the same girls over and over...with high frequency. I know they are not exact...also understand that genetics are a percentage theory...yet I still find it uncanny...their desire to show.

* Note that the Hell Hound "Premium" expression was not taken from the Odessa X OG Jam run...but from the OG Jam X Odessa run. Same pollens...different line moms.

** I'm now feeding 2 gal in the morning 2 gal in the afternoon/evening...per plant. 7gal smart pots of coco

This is what the Hell Hound IX1 sprouts look like after 3 solid days in coco. Popping like a bastard...

Ok....off to slave
