IN the past I have used Alaskan Bloom formula I get at the grow store, its cheap at $22 a gallon and its NPK is 0-10-10, which is ideal for flowering.

Also I like to top dress the tops of my plants with High P ferts right about now this time in the season to give them the flowering power that they want when the sun gets near its 12-12 horizon. I also use some teas, and since I have some bigger hungrier plants this year due to the warm spring, I think I will help my pocket book out by getting something high test thats not organic for later August usage. I'll be looking for something with a high K ration as well as P because I feel K is just as important to budding as P and most people don't know this.

Good Luck

Hi, i needed to post because of your nick lol.

I ve heard that the best is Hammerhead pk 9/18 by Dr Hornby from AN.

Here is short description:

Our scientists specifically designed HammerHead - a one-part floral booster to outproduce PK 13-14 and similar products. HammerHead has better source components and formula integrity than PK 13-14. Our 9-18 ratio gives specialty plants the exact amount of potassium and phosphorus that they need, and costs far less than PK 13-14.

EDIT: I am a bit confused now. I have also found Hammerhead pk 4-8 and Hammerhead pk 4-10, which is better for outdoor?

for some reason advanced keeps changing their npk values....i use the time release heavy harvest spring and summer.....and this year they went with a 17-17-17 which is a bit more N then i prefer... The old one was 13N but i dont re call the rest....but it seemed to work better then the new stuff....but i have heard some good things about that hammerehead.....besides the price....i usually use liquid kool bloom by GH and have stellar results....i also top feed with Rainbow mix time release Organic powder....

I just went to the grow store in my area and got

OPEN Sesame from Fox Farm 5-45-19

I will use a Phos loaded tea with organic products for this next week. Then the week after I will start applying the Open Sesame. Will stop with everything in Mid September.

Cheers

If you guys are growing outdoors then please stay organic. There is no reason to put chemicals in an outdoor garden.

To answer the OP's questions: bat guanos are key. Mix with EWC and your plants will be able to absorb faster and will even out the PH.
