i cant believe theres not one thread on this. its saying on the bottle to use 2 tsp a quart. that seems insane to put that much in when i got a 70 gal res. how much of this are you guys putting in your res?

technically, you should use it 2-3 times during your grow. beneficials and fungi will multiply themselves in the right environment. lots of "teas" are based on that idea.
now, if you flush regularly using chemicals and/or use H202 you might have to re-apply with every res change.

do you have a way to pull out the plants and spray the roots with the solution?
you really don't need to waste so much product, as the micro-organisms need to be in and around the root zone only. some beneficials will attach and infect immediately, others will take a little longer. another way you might try is to top-dress the medium you are using with a solution of oregonism xl and water only.

it's about inoculating your root zone and not your whole res. good luck!

Anyone use this product on passive hydro?

Its hydro too so if anyone has the answer to this question....

You can use the label dosages to mix up a few quarts and then crown feed if your in a hydro environment. It is effective and economical. Crown feeding also put the product where it needs to be anyhow.

If your going to put it in your hydro tanks then you would need to first mix up a batch and then wait for the "carrier" in the product which is usually clay to sink to the bottom and you can filter it out that way. Much more economical to either crown feed or foliar.
