Greetings all, I was wondering if you can use dried dog food, as a form of nutrients??
Has anybody a list over what minerals and other things are normal to assist plant growth??
Keep up the great work on this site!!

We've already been over this. You need to do a lot of reading. There are a lot of resources for new growers to learn what the plants need, which is not dog food! That's why they deleted the last thread u posted asking this same question.

If you absolutely insist on using dog food, use natural choice, purina, and kibbles n bits. There's your N-P-K right there lol

Dried dog food?

Fuck no. You've gotta use the wet stuff. Plants need moisture to thrive.

I've heard of people adding dried dog food to their actively aerated compost tea.

I this any worse than the guy starting a thread asking where to find rock wool?

What did RIU have another mass exodus?

Good luck!

instead of coming here and making thread after thread of this ridiculous question only to get scoffed at and made fun of... if you are serious about it just go ahead and f'ing do it... and make a thread to follow your progress... it will get better responses at least and we will learn along with you if and why dog food can or cannot be used as fertilizer

I see no reason why you couldn't put dry dog food in a compost pile and let it compost, but that's about as close as I'd get to using it as a nutrient

ok, from the start, it goes like this:

1. Dog Food = food for dogs.

2. Fertilizer = food for plants.

which of the two do you think plants need to nourish themselves?
