Blue coloured strains?

M

MrSterling

Anyone know of strains with blue-hued flowers? There were some photos in Jorge Cervantes' book of a strain that was very blue, but no name.

Blueberry and True Blueberry.

I have seen pictures of them that have a light blueish hue.

I don't think it is fully blue, but on the blue-er side of violet.

in 1997 at a Phish show I got some herb that was blue. It was supposedly NL#5 X Hawaiian Indica

blue and purples are something pretty cool.... it is done by temperature manipulation... well so i am told so lol

Raco, thank you for the beautiful shot! X-18 is a gorgeous strain. Beautiful. The blue I saw was a very vivid light blue, almost like blue hydrangeas. Perhaps it can be done by making the soil more acidic; that's what causes hydrangeas to go that blue. A nutrient lock-out at lower pH I suppose.

blueberry is the only one iv seen and grown personally ............................................. and its not something you get with every female either maybe 1 in 10 .............. well thats with the seed line i tryed anyway maybe its better than that with other lines , the buds have a blue tint to them ........................ it becomes very pronounced when you see them in natural light can really see the blue

Your kinda right... but mostly wrong shroomyshroom.
Blue and purple strains are the genetics. The calyx's will be pure blue or purple if its the genetics. The leaves will turn puplish if it gets too cold but the flowers dont turn purple.
manipulating the color of a plant through "cold stress" is not a good idea and it doesnt make it taste purple or blue.

This is BCBD PURPS. Natural color. Natural taste. Not done by freezing out the plant!

yeah I'm afraid its mostly down to the flash settings on the camera.
AGAIN...... A camera can manipulate the color in a pic but this is not the question.
He was wondering if there are truly blue nuggets out there and the answer is extremely and most definetly YES.

I have been growing DJ Shorts True BB. Totally Blue Nuggets while growing and after dry and cure.

a few pheno's of my Sweet n' Sour BB grows blue and finishes blue. No camera tricks.

We have a FLO cut that color to a lovely shade of blue/purple. XXX OG when done right can have bluish, more purple, hues. Djs gear is going to have the highest percentage of finding stuff like that. From what I have seen

Peace

Thanks for all the input! I'm out of town for a week. When I get back I'll find that photo and upload it. GMT you might be right about the flash settings for the photos I saw.
