In the market for a new pesticide sprayer to replace my fogmaster. Dont want anything with cords or electrical..must be gaspowered and backpack delivery system..

been looking at hudson they have a 4 gallon 2.5hp for 350, stihl has some nicer ones for a couple hundred more...

i have an ATV but would rather use a backpack sprayer since the terrain is pretty hilly and dont want to be lugging around a 100 gallon pesticide tank..

thanks in advance..

Hey Yes4Prop215,

check out this sprayer:
http://www.makita.biz/product/category/ope/evh2000/evh2000.html

This sprayer has a 20Liter reservoir, 14,7psi, a 2-head nozzle and a strainer for the filled in sprays.
I can highly recommend this brand -makita-, as well their other products!!!

I hope this product suits for you, don´t think that you wanna run around with more liters on your bag :D -if so you can find these sprayers bigger as well...

High regards
and a good season!

That northern tool sprayer is a good sprayer. You just have to get the gun seperately.

i cant find the gun on that website...do you swap in different brand.

i guess running off the ATV battery is better than gas powered...

Just unpacked mine and realized I got the broadcast/spot sprayer and not the tree sprayer! Gotta send the dame thing back. The hose is only 15' and the pressure is a lot less

Veg, with the tree sprayer, do you still use an agitation kit? I noticed in the description it says it has a re-circulation line.

You dont need to send it back..That's actually the one I meant to link...My bad! The one I use has a 2.2 GPM 70 PSI pump and I extended the hose myself to 100'..Works awesome..I got pissed at the 15 gallon tank and ripped the pump off the tank and hooked it up to a pickle barrel...Now I only need to fill Up twice...instead of like 7 times.......

I have the tank agitator. And! I'm going to suggest all of you with the Northern Tool tank go ahead and order extra spray nozzles, because the one that came with my tank only lasted one season and then the plastic in the handle split. If I didn't have some extras I would have been dead in the water that first day I needed to use it.

Hooks up to your ATv battery and straps right on to the back. This will do about 5 large tree at a time
I use the 26gal 2.2gpm model and I LOVE IT. I do need a smaller tank, and would like a cart just for the tanks. I don't have an available ATV anymore, just my little lawn tractor with a cart hitched to it.

No you don't, it comes with the sprayer. What I did have to do was add more tubing, because I can't get my lawn tractor into all garden areas. I would have had to do that even if I had the ATV to mount the tank on, though, because we have everything fenced but don't have wide enough gates for one garden.

It's a HELL of a lot better, especially if you're insisting on a back-pack model. Gas-powered means you've got to tote not only whatever it is you wish to apply via the spray, but also the fuel to power the thing. Seriously, get the NorthStar tank sprayer.

The only problem I've had is that I often run the battery of the lawn tractor down. It has to do with how the battery is charged during use, apparently I can't just let the motor run like I would with a car, I'm supposed to actually GO, like with my motorcycle.
