questions about autoflowers x non autos

ok.. so i have an Auto Hobbit.. and a Sour AK auto ... and i have some pollen from a skunkxhaze male.. that i hit the auto hobbit with... i was just wondering.. now this was just an experiment. to see if i could come up with some high yielding faster finishing buds kuz the skunk haze takes like 10-12 weeks.. and the auto hobbit is autoflower so ..

i guess the question is.. will this work.. will there be autoflwoering seeds from this.. or what percentage.. anyone have any experience with this kuz i mite hit my auto sour ak with some other pollen i have laying around depending on how this actually works?"

You need to cross two 100% AF plants meaning they can flower on 24/7 to get full 100% AF seeds. If you made the cross and maybe started a 1000 seeds you could get lucky and find a AF but unlikely. You need several crossing to start getting any %'s of plants that AF.

You will be likely to reduce your flowering times by adding the AF to your regular strain. But yeh you won't get any to auto in reality until you have made and grown the F2's out

Check me if I am wrong...

Auto is recessive, so it should show up at about 25% in the first batch.

honestly it was an experiment.. i wanted to see if crossing with a autoflower would shorten the length of the sativa side of the skunkhaze.. and add to the yield of it.. i was not planning on using 24/7 lights.. lol just normal veg and flower schedules.. but i was just wondering if mixing an autoflower with a non auto would create a shorter flower time. or will it just make the hobbit buds on a non auto .. lol what are the possibilities with this cross?

I have a kc33xlowryder female, she is non auto but has a very short flowering time and no stretch at all, my guess would be 50%..

She is relatively kc33 dominated, i grew out several seeds and she was the only one with a good potency, stinks very much too

i am not a complete newb been growing indoors for a year and a little .. and have had a little pollen chucking experience.. buttt i just dont know enough about autoflowers .. to know if its worth it to grow out the seeds that come from it .

that might depend on your ultimate goal. if its just for seeds or for breeding, it will take some back crossing to keep the auto genes

best route is semiauto \ light sensitive like the scandinavian \ finnish \ canadian strains and make f1's with short flowering autos. In most instances it reduces an already very short flowering time with 2-3 weeks more and combining the AF-trait with the semi-auto \ light sensitive trait in a f1 cross will give you plants that will start flower the moment they get either rootbound or you hit less than 22-24 hours of light.

many of the so called super-autos being sold overpriced around by "breeders" are just his, other peoples AF work and other peoples semi-auto acclimization work being worked into F1 and then re-sold with a 300% markup as superautos.
