105 Degree! WTF?!!!

Thats right. The temp on monday was 105 and today is the 9th day in a row of temps in excess of 100. It was 104 on the 4th, the hottest on record.

Do you know what 105 degrees combined with a 20mph wind does to cannabis?

Our "low temp" last night was 88 degrees.

Ive carried 140 gallons of water over the past 2 weeks and there isnt a raincloud in the forecast. This sucks.

Definitely. I mulch as much as I can.

Buy a small gas powered water pump, and place a tote tank or plastic drums by your grow. Then once a week or so run the pump for 5 minutes, and you are done. If you can put the tanks up higher than the grow then you can make a gravity fed drip system, and you don't have to do shit.

I like to work smarter not harder.

yeah, im watering 3 gallons every 3 days and if it doesnt rain soon that willl go up to 3 gall every other day.

Mulch, water crystals, rocks. I use everything i can use but cannabis is a water lover and the bigger the plant the more water it takes. Mine are head tall.

Heck, I been working by moonlight over the last few days.
Then when the moon isn't bright enough, I'll head out around 4:30 am and work by the good light thats already outthere before civil twilight.

Then again, they call me "Dangerous"...

Damn TeenHippy! Coons?! Ive never had coon problems and hope to continue that apparant good luck.

D.D., I go out every morning about 4 and work until just after daylight - 6o am- and then back in the evening at 8:30pm till 10:30 or so but thats no a change for me. Ive operated that way for years becuase in the rural area where i live nobody is out at those times so im never seen.

I went to the doctor yesterday and got 30 loritabs. I hope that sustains my achin back!

but now im back inside because of last years season and black spot

im waiting a little longer then doing late season minis only this year

It would only take 5 minutes to fill a 300 gallon tote of water. Then you would have 300 gallons per week of water. Not enough? Couple some totes together, and expand.

Update today hit 114F not including heat index went out and checked on my lone survivor sure enough raccoons tried again last night to get through the soaked papers and once again they failed miserable (haha fuckers) so besides getting attacked the girls leaves are nice dark green leaves reaching for the sky despite heat no wilting so newspaper dirt and rock seems to be the answer. Now besides growing heat headed to free outdoor show tonight and temps at 9-10pm are gonna be around 88-95F at NIGHT mind you luckily they will have micro brews on tap outdoors

Last summer I had some nice 6' ers and I had to water evryday because of 100+ heat and high winds. It was a struggle for sure. Then last July we had THE day! Thermometer in the shade was 112 and the humidity plunged to 6%. The day before they were fine. 24 hours later they were cooked and I mean crispy. High heat ,high wind and ultra low humidity was the grim reaper. I was sick about that, but then again I do live in the desert.

In my neck of the woods it was 109 last week. We are supposed to have a "temperate" climate. I have to carry 4 gallons a day. I'm not complaining though, rather carry water than go without weed.

My temps were 11 degrees hotter than the TX panhandle where my family lives. Mind you I live in a high elevation area, in the woods on a mountain at 34*N. Higher humidity too.
