There is no evidence that mermaids exist, a US government scientific agency has said.

The National Ocean Service made the unusual declaration in response to public inquiries following a TV show on the mythical creatures.

I recently saw some mermaid documentary on TLC/Discovery/NatGEo? cant remember what one? But they was talking about mermaids how they found evidence and what not. The government of Africa and the US confiscated all research material. The whole show seemed "fishy" to say the least.
