Strain selection for outdoor 2012....

how do you like to train your OGs? im a little worried about mine they are already 6 feet tall and getting really big, lots of internode spacing...probably gonna weave in and out of the horti-trellis shell...
It was my signature Strain for years, before everyone had it, but I stopped growing it.. Because of the 3X stretch, lower yields, and other issues you cite. Being near the Ocean, it also attracted Mildews like none other.
For Training, I used sticks in the soil, and tied up all the sustantial stems to the bamboo stakes. If they are already 6 feet, you are gonna have Monsters on your hands..
Jus been laggin...those 2 are goin in 30 gallon.pots so I'm not to worried about yield
my fire og would be way over 6' but im topping the shit out of it. same with the cookies it stretches quite a bit as well. Any reason you dont want to cut them back?

I love the "official" line up, have you grown the La Con outdoors before? If so what were your thoughts? I am growing her this year also, just trying to get a preview of what I may have to come. Harvest dates?
Sorry to say, it is a mold magnet outdoors. As in Botrytis.
Anything from the same family also fits that description. Dense thick buds.. Master Kush or similar hybrid. Ran an LA Con seedpack a few years ago. Couple good keeper moms, within - One Chocolate, one Coffee.. Good indoors. Can finish quick. If you are in a very dry place, you might be able to pull it off outdoors.

I think most are calling the green crack, green queen nowadays.
i grew a bunch of LA con and bubba last year and got zero mold...helps that they are finished late september im sure if you pushed into october they might get it...a friend who ran greenhouses and bubba got a bunch of PM...so definately might be susceptible.

Telling people Bubba and LA Con are done in September is inaccurate. Just because they can be, doesn't mean they should be.
