I dont think that patients will be able to grow their own meds under the new system. The government wants growers to be more "professional"with stringent quality control as for herbicides, and all chemicals, and pathogens, that are not in the cannabis profile. The good thing is that patients will receive a very good product. The bad thing is that it dosnt take us any closer to total legalization. But people wrecked it for themselves, a med certificate was just a licence to deal. So it will put a stop to those that abuse the intent of the present med cannabis laws. And no you probably will not pay 770 a week. As a medicine it will under the new legislation probably be listed under fair medicare, so cost will depend on your income. Its all bullshit anyway, anyone that isnt in the final stages of life can make themselves a cabinet and produce more than enough for their OWN needs. And those that wont will be a the mercy of Harpy and his boys, and we all know how compassionate they are, so good luck LOL

its not over yet.

besides, when you look at the "professionals"

you'll either have hothouse growers that'll fuck up like prarie systems.
or "professionals" from the marijuana community who are basically fucktards who've done some small indoor grows or grew in the 70's lying their asses off to sell books and write hightimes articles

either way, it won't work.

Well I cant argue with you there. The whole "cannabis industry" is one big fucking cesspool of egos and greedy bastards, as we'v all seen in a recent post.
I use med cannabis for relive of symptoms while Im undergoing hep c treatment. But Id never allow my self to even think that I dont have every right on this earth to grow my own medicine. I would never give anyone that control. And I especially would not go cap in hand to a doctor to get a licince. Unless my motives were other than medicinal, hint, hint.

Licenses coming in 3-4 weeks. Know several people who got them in the least few months. Took my buddy to a doctor 5 weeks ago and his 30g license came in 3 weeks.

Finally my family doctor of 22 years is finally going to endorse my application for my MMAR card. I was very nervous yesterday not knowing if he would accept the forms, because back in 2005 he refused due to liability issues. Now with the waiver form ,my doctor does not have to worry about liability.I am still trying to digest his descision to fill out the MMAR forms because after six raids on my home for medical cannabis, over 34 years, i am totally worn out, and exhausted.Maybe i should be celebrating this victory ,but i can,t. I know my family doctor is still reluctant to help, but he sees what has happened to my health over being raided, hancuffed and put in jail, for medicating myself with cannabis.
To anybody else in similar circumstances, don,t give up. If your family doctor refuses to fill out your MMAR forms, join a compassion centre, and hopefully they can refer you to a doctor who will endorse your application. The Toronto Compassion Centre has been a great help to me ,and i can,t thank them enough.
