Groundie's First Vert Attempt

I`ve never been fond of veggin vertically cuz the plants will reach for the lumens and get stretchy , makin buncha cleanup underneath and behind each plant necessary for sideways canopy management from what I`ve seen over the yrs with folks divin headfirst into vertical bare bulbs hangin expecting crazy ass yields without grower experience and doin their homework.....so...

Set up a decent cabinet with proper airflow and RH with some 8 bulb 432 watt T-5`S set down right on top of fully rooted cuts so they`ll stay shorter , stack nodes , and grow more limbs with more potential budsites once they hit the bloom rooms flipped to 12/12 and watch them bitches explose till end of stretch.....anyways....

My 2 cents from all them yrs Bro....Not tryin ta tell yas what to do , but rather steer yas in the right direction down the road as yas get used to bare bulbs hangin....and ....

Good luck....DHF.....:ying:.....
Im only vegging vertically cuz the project been on hold fer a few days, medcup in bay yesterday, family today, room will finish tomarrow, then ill fire it off! with every plant i have.!

Ran horizontal 400 watt MH bulbs over my krusty bucket veglings for almost a decade GU , and they work.....but..

With buncha buncha rooted cuts nothin beats T-5`s right down on top of em till they`re ready for the bloom rooms cuz yas can`t run as many cuts under a MH further away from em IME...

All equipment has it`s place and believe me....T-5`s ain`t poop....All in how yas use yer shit....anyways....

Good luck...DHF.....:ying:....

So i managed to get a few thing ironed out today.. grabbed a few parts for the filter.. Which is untested. I run alot of organics so filters is a must... heres a new style i picked up to try... it has a nice flushing feature which is why i decided to try it!

Heres a few helpful things that may help you in the future.. i used to run strait barbed watering sticks ... but there week at the top and always break.. i have changed over to the bent ones for less stress on the water inlet....

And for anyone tired of cleaning out there pipes in drain to waste or want to filter on a resirc.. i use the mesh from inside of pumps to cover the drain screans.. I always did this for my Ebb and Flo's or when using coco.. works really good in 4x4x or 4x8 trays that have a well for it at drain site..

I also find that the T5s are fantastic for keeping a nice even canopy of the batch of clones, which is nice for uniformity come blahblahblah..

Lovin the attention to detail GU.....Environment within 7-8 degrees lights on lights off ambient temps is admirable .....and...

Once yas can develop that sideways canopy as close to the bulbs without bleachin and scorchin plants by end of stretch , and held up with horti-trellis as they swell till end of cycle with proper watts per sq ft and environment to fill up every cu ft of space with nuggage.....

That`s when yas can bet on max benefit for time invested....I know you said yield is secondary in your mind compared to quality , but wouldn`t it be cool ta have both ?.....

Canopy management is everything with stacked bulbs....You`ll get there and....

Respect...DHF....:ying:....

Ya im a little unerved by a few of my strains need to set up one hardcore side and the other "special blend side" I havnt grown any of these strains so yes....this may be a cluster.. i still have a bunch of things to do and button up....
But im waiting to see if i need to change anything enviro-wise before i seal her up!!

LOL ...i have only used a canopy/trellus once before...lol ... Geez this may bite me in the ass.. i am adding another bulb tomarrow to the left side . and i'm getting bored so im gonna throw in another lite on the third corner for a special project... ill share the deets when i learn them!!

You`re missin the point for maxin out your cu ftg so every sq and cu inch as close to the bulbs without scorchin/bleachin will be full of nuggage Bro......

Matters not which strain yas run as long as yas learn and dial how long it takes to pre-veg then flip each variety to obtain said sideways canopy by end of stretch.....then...

It`s simple...babyshit....and ....As much as yas can hope for return wise in said grow area consistently FTW......

Peace....DHF....:ying:.....

So i flushed them anyway cuz i knew they couldnt handle my nute load ...... this shit if far from coco.I then grabbed a 2 gallon pot and flushed it with 090.ppm water... after three gallons of flushing the ppm was 1900.... again this is out of the bag....Pissed....
anyway back to coco for me...another lessoned learned..!!
