Hey everyone. I'm running a few strains in a chamber with 756W of light, 256 of which is T-8 tubes on the sides, and a 400W CMH overhead. I'm on day 57 of 12/12. Pineapple Chunk is the first to really swell, and I'm new to running her, so I'm trying to figure out how long to let her go. She's not done yet, I know that for sure, but any constructive thoughts about it would be appreciated.
The plants are in 2.75 gallon grow bags in a substrate made of coir, compost, perlite, vermiculite, peat, spent cubensis cakes, a bit of clay and gypsum, and bio-char. They were vegged about 1.5 months I think. I had a lot of problems mid-flower with some sort of worm eating at my roots and a subsequent pythium infection. I fixed that though and they're really bouncing back. You can still see signs of the damage in the pics if you look close. It shows more on some of the other plants. Pineapple Chunk weathered the storm very well.
I have to say, this is hands-down the best smelling plant I have ever grown or encountered. The smell is like fruit and earth and it's just so intense. If this tastes at all like it smells, it's going to be incredible.
Anyway, here's the pictures:
These first two shots are from 6/19/2012:
Here is her now at 6/24/2012:
The new shots turned out dark for some reason, but as you can see the calyxes are swelling. I've checked the trichs and while most look a bit cloudy, nothing amber anywhere. I'm hoping these will pack on a lot of weight, but maybe that's wishful thinking. They're down to water and molasses now, but that isn't often since they seem to need water about once every 15 days as long as I water them properly. Next run I'm adding more coir to the mix to combat some of the problems I have had.
Here's a picture of Critical Mass 33. She's probably the next closest to done:
