Titan VS Multi-Flow?

Hello all, I'm looking for some help on figuring out what system I should buy. Perhaps pros or cons if you have used one of the systems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a titan... what do you wanna know?

tips... floats can stick, pumps need to be checked, they need to be banged a little sometimes.. roots can get damaged if you lift the pot cuz the holes on the side, water does pool on the botttom bucket

works good overall tho

the liner bags are cool

mine is outside dismantled after two runs

as long as you DO NOT LEAVE A RUNNING HOSE you can only flood one rez, normally

no leaks in any of the titians i service

Never leave while running a hose to fill your REZ, forget and come back to water everywhere!

Dont worry more people have done it here then care to admit.

Public service announcement never leave a running hose!

I've ran the ebb and flow for years, just like folks say, you might have to bang it a couple times to get stuck pumps to work. Things can lodge in the float switches and cause a flood, some water remains in the pots after the drain.

All in all I've fixed any issues with the control bucket type ebb and flow systems and have grown to love it. Those float switches have lasted forever, actually had to replace a relay in the timer before a float has failed. The key is to really aerate your res and most folks seem to go with a 15-30 minute flood every 3 hours. I love my modified Greentrees Ebb and Flow bucket system.

There is also a great thread somewhere here on IC Mag showing you how to build your own control bucket for under $100. I've built a few, it's nice for understanding exactly how your hydro system operates inside and out.

good luck going hydro, it can be really rewarding.

Running hose is the only flood that my ebb & flo produced and it was actually me producing it. pretty tough systems as long as you have routine maint. on them daily to check for proper drain and build up. Always make sure your floats are clean of build up or you WILL have a flood.

the new greentrees (hyrdoponics.net) buckets work great...they redesigned everything in the last 1-2 years with bigger buckets and recessed bottoms so the water drains out completely. If you ever have a problem with the controller, vince is very good about quick turnaround for service. good luck on that with titan.
