Can't Sleep

I have a few personal problems in my life and I took some medication that the doctor gave me for pain that may be keeping me awake. I feel kind of wired.

What bothers me is that I feel like I am setting up my whole week to be bad now. For me to be effective in my work I need to look and be sharp. This sucks.

I just puffed on some weed, but that seemed to make it worse.

Try Somatomax. Go easy at first and take a quarter dose. That shit is some powerful stuff.

Watch the shit doctors give you. I wanted some Valium for anxiety. He gave me some antidepressant. Within a month I wanted to kill myself. Took weeks to get that shit out of my system.

I'm guessing opiates? Ya, that shit'll keep you up. You're awake, but half asleep, kind of like in la la land. Feel warm? Maybe a little tingly? a little itchy?

Don't take it before you're scheduled to go asleep. Take it during the day if you're feeling pain. Some people are overly sensitive to opiates, so maybe take half the prescribed dose, and go from there.

I've had a lot of luck with Ambien CR (2 X 12.5mg) which usually puts me out, I don't use it every night and so I keep tolerance levels in check, best of luck, nothing's worse than losing sleep.......

same dosage effective still even after 7 years.


EDIT:
I napped earlier so I won't force sleep tonight with meds, instead I'll give my back a break by getting out of this seat (real damned soon) & will probably fall out while lying down again.

depending on the extent and source of your pain it may work better for you to try herbs.

skullcap soothes nerves, relieving physical and emotional pain... and it promotes deep restful sleep. i do five drops in a shot of water about a half hour before bed and I usually sleep quickly and soundly, which I wouldnt normally.

chamomile tea before bed can also have a suprisingly powerful relaxing and sleep inducing effect.. i think especially when combined with ganj

lavender is another super soother emotionally and physically

st johns wort is superior for nerve pain/damage and of course gives a nice mental boost

EDIT:

so I friggin' lied, I took my sleep pills plus 1, I slept for over 11 hours and my legs are wobbly, my trick knee ain't helping either. @ 5pm I woke to pee and had to lean on every piece of furniture to make it back n' forth.......

w/o a doubt I need to catch me a buzz to help the head.......
