Purple Haze x PCK (fem)

Smell department is incredible. Very rich aroma. Has strong pungency as before, but earthy/nutty has given way to sweet and sour more prominent now. Floral/incense lighter notes are very interesting.
As the buds getting more light now have firmed up I'm beginning to think under full term intense light the yield potential of this lady could be fantastic. She really puts out long branches lined with nugs. Wherever there was light, she's responded with firm buddage.

Im glad you are enjoying gourd ... and everyday closer to try your fruits :)

This is 'text book' F1 hybrid where 2 stable (or inbred) sativa and indica lines are blended together,it's real intersting cos you can apreciate both sativa and indica expressions mixed and balanced, that's the advantage to breed with high quality stable lines and not poly hybrids, crossing poly hybrids produce a wide variety of phenos (with different sizes, aromas, flowering times etc ...) but is not so easily and predictable to breed with.

Why is this concept so hard for other breeders to understand? It is very difficult to find f1 hybrids on the market. I also like how when they combine two poly-hybrids and call that an f1.

Gourd your plants are looking very good.

Well i did the deed last night. ~84 days or 12 weeks flowering.
Since the last update I actually kept her in my closet with only a 42W CFL for light. She developed some fungus gnats in the last couple weeks and my usual BTi (mosquito dunks/bits) did not seem to affect them much, so I just quarantined her instead of putting her into the veg room with some other plants, just didn't want the gnats spreading. Anyways she was ready to go. trichs were getting more and more milky and just a touch of amber here and there. She was still slowly putting out some wispy little foxtails, despite further reducing the light cycle.

Smell on her has remained similar, complex aroma with strong pungency. Incensey smell came on a bit more the last few weeks, sweet&sour throughout flower and floral hints there too. Lovey smell.

Trich coverage is awesome! glistening like jewels! Extends out far onto the leaves for some nice frosty trim as well.

Not gonna weigh up too heavy, cause the buds are not very dense, but she was far from well lit throughout the grow. I have a BIG clone in the next round that is gonna explode when I flip the flower room again in a week or something. Should give a much better look at the yield potential but I think this cross has enormous potential based off the size and profusion of branches full of flowers.

Snapped a bunch of pics, I'll throw my favorite ones up here and if you wanna see some more check my gallery.

A few little bottom nugs were pollinated by a pair of SourD(v1.5).xApollo11 males which were from seeds gifted by a friend back in '05 or something like that.

the "top" of the plant was slightly overtaken by a couple of those long side branches but here it is with some fiskars for scale

And a little closer in

This is the longest branch here held at arms length, the branch was several inches longer than my arm...

Well I am pleased to report that her smoke is great!
The nutty pungent smell is no longer earthy or nutty but it is now sickly sweet and sour at the same time. Smells sweet but with a sharp amonnia like bite and it really grabs your nose! Strong smell like sour candy with a bit of incense as well, especially noticeable on the burn. Gets an oily incense burning roach when rolled in a joint. Did I mention she is quite potent? she is also great in the vape and really a potent hit.
Effect is very nice, smooth and clear but very potent. So far shows great potential as a get projects done work day choice. Strong clear high with great potency and a great smooth letdown. The total effect and aftereffect is one of the nicest I've tried and I've tried quite a few fine clones. Still improving with cure but in a few more weeks I think she will be right in the top tier of my stash.
In Potency she is right on par with the finest cuts I've tried out from local sources here in CO. Chocolope, Super Lemon Haze, etc. With a top quality effect that sustains and is wonderful on the way down too. Hard to say enough good things, really enjoying this one Dubi!

Thanks gOurd^jr :) Im so glad you like her, i also love this hybrid.... there's a big range of aromas in the mix so the curing will only improve this special mix of spicy-incensey sativa details with the sickly sweet pck aromas. Im melting here thinking of yours hehehhehe Enjoy! ;)

Snapped a few dry shots today and they came out better than I was expecting.

Been sampling her in the vape and the taste is sweet like candy with just a touch of the sour/incense. really great flavor and the high continues to please! Awesome for the daytime. Very functional, motivating and uplifting. Long lasting, smooth finish, great flavor, she's got it all!
here's the best of the dry shots

Beautiful Shots Gourd! Been watching this for the last few weeks. Looks like you finished really well! I have found some really sweet berry phenos from the PCK seeds Ive grown out over the years. This one really has me pondering a PCK x pure Sativa cross.
I bet the PH x PCK would do amazing outdoors. Did she stretch quite a bit?
Did you make these seeds? Is this the only seed youve grown?
