So I'm gonna tell the story of these seedlings, then post pictures, then do my best to answer the questions I'm supposed to answer in the OP so you can best help diagnose and resolve my issues.

Few months ago I exchanged some work with this local hippy grower lady for about 120 of her seeds. She gave me Chemdawg, Deadhead OG, Purple x OG Kush, Planewreck and Purple x Trainwreck. I can't remember the exact date that they were germed but we're thinking it was around late april (20-30th?) so they are around 2 monthsish? Or 1 and 1 half months.. Anyways things have been going cherry so far. They were germinated in Light Warrior by Fox Farm in jiffy cups. When the roots started to shoot out the bottom of the cups (really quick lol) I transplanted them into blue party cups. They are 100% outdoor plants. When I transplanted them I started to run out of light warrior so I cut them lightwarrior with some dirt I dug up out of the ground and some of this random black shit my friend had a bag of.. So some of them are in some pretty crappy soil at the moment. Oh almost forgot, we've been feeding them with earth worm casting tea aerated with an airstone. The compost is in a sock floating around in the aerated bucket. We were doing the EWC tea every day for a week and then switched to every other day.. They are watered once in the morning every day. So here is what they are looking like right now;

this is the chemdawg baby who happens to be one of the healthiest looking... The rest are mostly similar to him/her but just a tad less vigorous.

The other half are all afflicted with something like this..

One of the droopier examples.

So now the questions;

SOIL:

How long has this problem been going on? About 2 weeks

What STRAIN are you growing? Chemdawg, Deadhead OG, Purple x OGKUSH, Planewreck, Purple Trainwreck

What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Seed.

What is the age of your plants? 1 & 1/2 to 2 months..

How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? Couldn't say accurately, probably 2 weeks.

Were they in the same mixture when they were seedlings/smaller plant? If not, what mixture were they in before? They are in the same mix in the jiffy cups they were in, the jiffy cups were transplanted to blue party cups.

How Tall are the plants? 3-4 inches on average, the tallest being about 5.

What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Seedlings

What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) Outdoor container SOG until they are sexed, then the bitches go in the ground around the property.

What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 1 plant per pot (except one where there is 2 which was an accident), blue party cups.

What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
Organic soil, mostly Fox Farm Light Warrior with some local soil and old black compost bag mixed into about half the party cups.

What brand Nutrient's are you using? At the moment feeding EWC tea, aerated with an airstone every other day.

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful* EWC tea, a sockful in a 5 gallon bucket, aerated 24/7.

How often are you feeding? Every other day.

If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? n/a

What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) n/a

What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? Don't know..

What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? Don't know..

How often are you testing pH/ppm/EC/TDS? Never, was under the impression it was unnecessary with organic soil but if I should start adjusting the PH I can do so..

What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? Nothing yet in the way of PH..

How often are you watering? Once in the morning. In the beginning my friend who owns the property was overwatering and I corrected him.

When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? The last feeding was yesterday morning.

What size bulb are you using? The sun.

How old is your bulbs? As old as time..

What is the distance to the canopy? n/a

What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) Outdoors..

What is the canopy temperature? 75f today

What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) 75f in the day, cold at night 50f - 43f

What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) Nice n breezy.

What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Water is pumped from a well.

Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? No.

Are plant's infected with pest's?
There are some bug bites on a few of them but that is not a major issue at this point.. No signs of spider mites or anything like that, though I'll keep an eye out.. If its recommended to me I'll spray something on them or make a tea of some sort, I would prefer if there weren't the bug bites but I'm told by my friend Steve its not a big deal.

Thanks for any input. I took out some of the questions which seemed specific to indoor...
:thank you:

Hey one of the main things that stood out to me was the watering from a well... Do yous drink from it to? It's hard to be sure of what might be in the water and that could be a link to your problem. Maybe slow down on the feeding and see how that goes to. Hopefully someone with more experience will follow this up but I wish you good luck!

they could well be rootbound, the size of the above ground growth is dependant on the roots not the other way around,, yellowing of lower leaves would make me sway towards the roots,,

have you put drainage holes in the cups?

tbh i dont really get the plastic cup thing,, why add another stage of potting up and potentially slow down the growth,, ive always used 4 litre pots to start with until they sex and even they are slightly too small sometimes,,

i would repot them up in a good soil mix and it is possible that something about the water from the well is altering the soil chemistry,, could be ph,, and teas cant make up for crap soil,,

Maybe rootbound in the smaller, inner cups? The bigger ones are what 500-750ml?

I don't like bigger containers for seeds and cuttings because of the inevitable runts and slowcomers who get killed by me. Bigger containers= even more soil to throw out. Grow trash driving me a bit crazy as it is.

Well the plan was to up pot them once more before flowering anyways so I guess I'll be doing that today. Also be picking up a ph kit.. The well water is high quality, drinkable and everything. I'm certain they are rather small because they were VERY overwatered as smaller seedlings (too many cooks in the kitchen heh)..

I'll keep it updated and all :3

I`m wondering if the (black shit) has anything to do with it . I knew of someone that got hold of a few bags of good compost but did`nt know that the heap had been sprayed with weedkiller & everything he used this compost for suffered/stunted/or died .
Yellowing on the edges of leaf is very similar to magnesium deficency caused by nute lock-up but i also notice some brownspotting ? . If this is the case your feed/soil is causeing the prob .Try a dose of epson salts , it wont harm the plants , & as already said rootbound plants ? Easily checked .

Yeah I def agree that the bag of black shit was the culprit, makes sense logically because only about half of the babies are affected and only half also received some of this as a cut to the light warrior.. Totally had the money to go out and buy another bag I just didn't want to make the drive :wallbash:

So didn't realize it was Sunday so all the shops are closed in my town.. Gonna have to do the re-potting tomorrow, really hope I don't lose any more of the babies in that time. Gonna buy a mix of Black Gold and some other kind of bag and follow one of the LC's mix recipes in the organic soil forum..

Thank you all for the input!
