Thanks for the kind words everyone, I felt like I was dying last night. I just had straight black shits which I'm fairly certain is indicative of blood.. I'm going to the health clinic right now, gonna pick up some apple cider vinegar as well. Knowing that first consultations are free I'll be hitting up some lawyers out of the phone book.. Also gonna get in touch with the health department for sure today. Fuck this place, I used to work at a sushi place that didn't wash their dishes in a sanitary way (no disinfectant just rinsing with water!!).... Makes me wish I had piped up about them, they're out of business now idk why...

Yeah, get to a Dr-- Black diarrhea isn't really consistent with food poisoning-- You may have other probs, and the sushi is just coincidence--

Ok so saw a doctor.. The black stool was from the pepto bismol I was pounding so that was a relief. He says it was just regular food poisoning, I should be alarmed if it persists for a few more days in which case he wrote me a prescription for some bullshit pill. Feeling a lot better, I'm gonna go ask the restaraunt to cover my $80 clinic fee.

It's funny you mention you had a nightmare before your food poisoning Stoner4Life, I was having this crazy dream before I woke up and rushed to the bathroom yesterday morning.. In the last part a childhood friend who's last name is Brown did a cannonball in the swimming pool and drenched this party with all my other childhood friends. I think my subconscious was trying to tell me something.... Warn me or some shit.

You should all remember I wrote the OP in a time of great stress and pain.. I no longer wish the owners of the restaurant any harm whatsoever. I won't be bringing a lawsuit, I will however hang signs in the vicinity detailing my experience and I'll tell every fuckin body I know not to eat there.... Even if it was a one off fluke its fucked that I should have to experience a day of that shit after fucking paying them to eat there......

Well to be fair you don't know for sure it came from the Sushi. Now if that was the only food you had anywhere for the 24 hours prior to onset then it probably was the sushi if not then anything else you ate that day could also have been the source of the food poisoning. All the fish in your bowel movements show is that your system was trying to purge itself.

There is a good chance it is the sushi though I mean raw anything is always going to be at risk of food poisoning if not properly handled and/or stored. Personally I think anyone eating sushi should have a greater expectation of food poisoning. Should the restaurant be sued? Well if it was a matter of blantent disregard for sanitation then yeah. If however Haruki NoWashi in the back was hungover from too much saki the night before and forgot to wash his hands then no. I think Haruki should be punished as the store manager sees fit and the customer offered a refund of the cost of his meal.

BTW, you should have done a poll to see if half really hated you for that post? I don't think so seemed like mostly empathy to me

and btw, in your city, do they rate the restaurants?

in my neck of the woods they get ratings. A-F i believe (if im remembering correctly)
a "D" or "F" rating gets em closed immediately and a hefty fine. Then they have to fix everything or just not reopen.
