What's new

Re-vegging 1st time - I didn't realize to leave any shoots, only leaves! Did I Fail ?

Oh man. I took all the shoots and buds out.

There's like 30 leaves on the plant, and it had been flowering for 6 weeks.

My logic says that once enough energy is built up by all those leaves, the plant will find a way to generate new shoots, right? :tumbleweed:

But all the reveg guides tell that I should have left some popcorn. But I didn't and guides say now its impossible to reveg.

So what now? Is my perfect, purple sativa mom now ruined forever and I just better throw it to the compost? :moon:

sounds like it, with no shoots it wont have anything to grow from...

maybe tissue culture might be the answer, but its still vague to me and seems complicated

She'll eventually throw some new growth tips. You just made the process take longer.

If you love her, keep feeding her. She'll come back to you.

Anti you are my light in this lone crusade's infinite darkness where people are saying no and no left and right...

Thank you for giving hope!

mother nature always finds a way to fix our minor mistakes ........ give her time, she will hook you up

Thanks for the replies!
How long do you think it will take? Will two-three months be enough so I could take cuts? Coz thats when I am putting up the new project.

The reason why I doubt everyone that tells me no, btw;

A plant can generate any cells - including the ones that make up growing tips at any given time given the possibilities (energy, nutrients).

For example, when you take a cutting, the plant creates callus cells on top of the wound - and these can morph to ANY CELL - and usually it's the root cell type for cannabis cuttings, but if the plant can do this, morph her own cells to whatever cells she needs down there, maybe she can do it a bit higher up?

I think it MIGHT sprout from somewhere, such as from where the cotyledons were, or from a node that hadn't taken off, but i wouldn't count on it.

we'll see... Ive completely harvested a plant and threw the cut trunk outside in the summer time it got watered and threw out shoots... but each plant has a different photosensitivity so some are more apt to re-veg than others. take care of it and the odds should be in your favor

do you remember the day that you took off all the shoots? if you did it when the moon was waxing, shoots will be far more likely to come up (or at least come up quicker) then if you did it in the 3rd-4th quarter. (p.s., we recently just entered the second quarter, so if you did it in the last 5-6 days, you're golden dude)

sorry but this is what that reminded me of:biggrin: Im really Tired...

i understand there may be something to that stuff... but at the same time the waxing and waning of the moon doesn't effect the gravity at all its just the angle of reflected sunlight changed throughout the moons orbit.

perigee and apogee refer to the distance from the earth to moon and would effect the moisture level in the soil and some of the other things that lesser or greater effects of the moons gravity can effect. though I've seen them commonly associated to the lunar cycle (waxing & waning).

Do NOT use intense light, Low is best, about the same as for cuttings.
It needs the light (24hrs.) as a trigger to revert back to vegetative growth. After shoots begin to appear, step up the light.
I had a thread on this HERE.

Thanks a lot for your link, it seems you're the ultrapro of reveg!

They do not have much light at all at the moment, on the day I ripped her off their flowers I put her to be under 210w of LED light (distance to light about 70cm) for a day, and since then just been on natural light - lenght of day is now more than 19 hours, and it's increasing...

I figure after the summer I have some cuts, yes?

This should be enough for regrowth, as there are the smallest tips left?
